Annual HR Conference 2012

An annual 2-day HR Conference is held, where industry leaders are invited to discuss and debate on emerging trends in Human Resource with futuristic and contemporary themes. The HR Share 2012 was held on October 12-13, 2012. The theme of the conference was ‘Bigger with fewer’. Chief Guest for the event was Mr. Steve Cox, Managing Director, Fedex. The event was adorned by many industry stalwarts, providing a platform for discussing the HR issues and sharing their experience and challenges in their organizations.

ISB&M hosted the hugely popular annual supply chain conference on November 26th 2011.The theme for the year was “Futuristic Supply Chain-SCOPE (Supply Chain and Operations for Performance Enhancement) 2011". The main focus of the conference was to reason with the constraints and the measures to overcome the limitations of the unstable and vigorous working environment prevailing these days.

Marketing Expo Marketing Expo is an annual one-day marketing seminar organized with the objective of providing our students a platform to interact with the practioners from the corporate world. The Marketing Expo was inaugurated by Mr. Harish Bijoor, Founder CEO of Harish Bijoor Consultants Inc., where he discussed the brand and business strategy across the markets of Hong Kong, USA, London, Dubai and the Indian sub-continent. The seminar was attended by a large number of business executives and faculty from various Business Management institutes.

E-Week

To develop and nurture an entrepreneur in every individual is the main motive behind E-week. The theme implied prosperity but also sustainability and clean environment around everyone. The event comprised of: Photography, Logo Making, Collage Making, Poster Making, Documentary Film-Making, Business Challenge and Green Quiz. Each event had special learning in them which in turn provides a good experience in developing skills, discovering, participating and organizing the event.

Management Management education at ISB&M is designed to address the learning needs of students. The programmes of the institute are offered at General Management Level and Specialized Management Level. Students enroll at General Management Level. At the end of the General Management Level, students can assess their learning need and decide to enroll for Specialized Management Level. Students who complete Specialized Management Level can seek final placement assistance. Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar was established in January 1997 to promote technical education, research & development. The Library is stocked with more than 8300 books. It is subscribed to more than 84 magazines and

16 newspapers to enable the students to get a broader perspective of the area of study.

It also has computers with access to internet which helps them with global updates.

DIGITAL LIBRARY

The state of the art digital library is equipped with over 10,000 national and international journals

(viz., Harvard Business School Journals since 1921), texts, references, periodicals and full text which

can be accessed from any where, any time by using a User ID and Password. It contains volumes since

1922 or date of inception of the journal.

COMPUTER LAB

Computer center is well equipped with sufficient computers in high-tech Wi-Fi environment allowing

mobile internet accessibility across the campus. Computer lab is provided with UPS Power Back-up.

Other facilities include Linux mail server, Anti-virus software (Norton, Symantec) and Fire wall protection.

AUDITORIUM

ISB&M has a fully air conditioned auditorium with the capacity of accommodating more than 700 students,

fully acoustic and with state of the art audio & video facilities.

NOTE: Students who do not have any valid test scores (CAT/MAT/XAT) may appear in ISB&M Pune’s Managerial Aptitude Test, to be held between 15th January 2013 to 10th February 2013. The details of the Test center and dates can be obtained from ISB&M Pune’s Admission’s office.

• Carry Identity Card all the time. • Switch off mobile phones in the classrooms, library, computer labs and during academic activities.• Maintain silence in the corridors - inside and outside the classrooms.• Attend all lectures, tutorials and extracurricular and co-curricular activities regularly.• Read notice board regularly.• Use library and computer labs during your free time.• Do not spoil and disfigure library books.• Avoid writing /scribbling on the walls, chairs and tables in the classrooms and labs.• Keep the campus neat and clean.• Switch off lights, fans and ACs while not in use.• Respect others' independence.• Not to indulge in rude and indecent behavior with the faculty, staff and students. • Observe self-discipline and punctuality.• Report to the Director in case of exigency.• To wear formal dress /college uniform as and when desired by the institute.• Take prior approval of the Director/Academic Chairperson for leave.• Smoking, consumption of drugs and alcoholic drinks are prohibited in the campus.Ÿ Any act of violence and consumption of narcotic will lead to expulsion from the institute.

Ragging in any form is prohibited in the college. Ragging is illegal and a criminal offence under law. For a reported case of ragging, it is mandatory to initiate disciplinary process and also report the same to the Police. Mentoring and Career Counselling

Counselling every student of ISB&M will be assigned to GGT (Guide, Guardian cum Tutor) who will assist and guide the student in career planning, progress monitoring and problem solving related to the programme.
