8 The LORD spoke to Aaron, Saying:9 “Do not drink wine or intoxicating drink, You, Nor Your sons with you, When You go into the tabernacle of meeting, Lest you die. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations”10 “That You may distinguish between holy and unholy and between unclean and clean”11 “And that You may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the LORD has spoken to them by the hand of Moses.” NKJV

WHAT WAS THE PRIDE OF EPHRAIM? SAMARIA?WHAT HAPPENED TO SAMARIA?

READ: 1 KINGS 16:23-2623 In the thirty-first year of Asa king of Judah, Omri became king over Israel, and reigned twelve years. Six years he reigned in Tirzah.24 He bought the hill of Samaria from Shemer for two talents of silver. He built on the hill and called the name of the city which he built, Samaria, after the name of Shemer, owner of the hill.25 Omri did evil in the eyes of the LORD, and did worse than all who were before him.26 He walked in all the ways of Jeroboam the son of Nebat and in his sin by which he had made Israel sin, Provoking the LORD God of Israel to anger with their idols. WHAT HAPPENED TO SAMARIA?READ: 2 KINGS 17:1-6

1 In the twelfth year of Ahaz king of Judah, Hoshea the son of Elah became king of Israel in Samaria, and he reigned nine years.2 He did evil in the sight of the LORD, But not as the kings of Israel who were before him.3 Shalmaneser king of Assyria came up against him. Hoshea became his vassal and paid him tribute money.4 The king of Assyria uncovered a conspiracy by Hoshea. For He had sent messengers to So, king of Egypt, and brought no tribute to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year. Therefore the king of Assyria shut him up and bound him in prison. 5 The king of Assyria went throughout all the land, and went up to Samaria and besieged it for three years.6 In the ninth year of Hoshea, the king of Assyria took Samaria and carried Israel away to Assyria. He placed them in Halah and by the Habor, the River of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes. NKJV

You who Eat lambs from the flock and calves from the midst of the stall. 5 You who sing idly to the sound of stringed instruments and invent for yourselves musical instruments like David. 6 You who drink wine from bowls and anoint yourselves with the best ointments But Are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph. 7 Therefore They shall now go captive as the first of the captives and Those who recline at banquets shall be removed.

13 As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this disaster has come upon us. Yet we have not made our prayer before the LORD our God, That We might turn from our iniquities and understand Your truth.14 Therefore the LORD has kept the disaster in mind, and brought it upon us. For the LORD our God is righteous in all the works which He does, though we have not obeyed His voice.15 O Lord our God, Who brought Your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand and Made Yourself a name, as it is this day: We have sinned, We have done wickedly! And the other basket had very bad figs which could not be eaten, they were so bad.3 The LORD said to me, “What do you see, Jeremiah?” I said, “Figs, the good figs, very good. and the bad, very bad, which cannot be eaten, they are so bad.”

I will build them and not pull them down. And I will plant them and not pluck them up.”7 “I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the LORD. They shall be My people and I will be their God. For They shall return to Me with their whole heart.” 8 “As the bad figs which cannot be eaten, they are so bad,” Surely, thus says the LORD, ‘So I will give up Zedekiah the king of Judah, his princes, the residue of Jerusalem who remain in this land, and those who dwell in the land of Egypt.”9 “I will deliver them to trouble into all the kingdoms of the earth, for their harm, to be a reproach and a byword, a taunt and a curse, in all places where I shall drive them.”10 “I will send the sword, the famine, and the pestilence among them, till they are consumed from the land that I gave to them and their fathers.”
