Introduction

Technology has brought incredible changes in our lives. The most dramatic technological advances were the development of computers most especially the internet. It is being used worldwide and has brought benefits and assistance to schools, corporation and households. With the help of computers and internet, an individual can access vast array of information, from almost parts of the world. Since it is the by-product of technology, it also improves and makes the living condition easier.

Schedule-Locator map aims to help both students and professor in both campuses (Pasig and Mandaluyong) of Rizal Technological University to easily access in the location of a certain area in both campuses, since Rizal Technological University increased another building in Pasig and Boni due to the number of student, this schedule-locator map would be playing a big part.

• It will also help students to easily access in the schedules of their professors in every subject. Schedules of the professors in Rizal Technological University will be displayed on the system

General Objectives

The main objective of the study is to make system for RTU in which the users could makes information easily accessible by allowing users to navigate the system. This will also determine the accurate location of the place they are looking for.

Specific Objectives

Design a map locator ha is easy to navigate to “point” which leads to fast accurate finding location.

familiarize the users with the locating of RTU provides user with information regarding the

selected area. to guide the users to the exact location they

desired.

Statement of the problem•How to develop a system for the Rizal

Technological University (RTU) that will allow the new and old users (students, faculty members, employees) and other visitors to identify their current location inside the campus and direct them towards their chosen destination in the shortest possible direction?

Specific problems • How to develop a module to determine the user`s

current location?• How to embed a module that will display only the

map outline of RTU?• How to develop a normalized and well-managed

database system that will store the buildings` information schedules?• How to find professor schedule inside the campus?• How to develop a well-designed user interface that

will be user-friendly?

Conceptual framework

Scope and Delimitations• The RTU Scheduler Map shows only

the latest schedule of RTU and at the same time it also shows the important information about RTU from Department building faculties, Dean Offices, and especially the rooms, facilities and schedules of the RTU that you want to locate.

•However, in Scheduler Map serves us to know the schedule, availability and the professor who will use the room and the destination of what you’re trying to locate over the RTU Campus only, this system is reference of all the schedules in every room

• The Scheduler Map is limited in the way that it only shows current data on the date it is being installed. If some information was added or the facilities in RTU are changed, the Scheduler Map should be updated.

Significance of the Study

• To Rizal Technology University The result of the study would be deemed worthy to the University in terms of cost effective, modern way of disseminating certain information about the schedules, 24 hours global presences, and keep the edge on competitors.

• To the Students This study will keep them updated to the different schedules of the university facilitator. It will also answer the different concern about the schedule of the teachers

• To the Faculty This study will serve as an instrument in order for them to communicate with their students and vise versa. • To the Researcher This study will equip

them with knowledge and pave way to enhance his skills in relation to developing the system. It will also serve as a vehicle towards the realization of his long dreamt Bachelors’ degree.

• To the Future Researchers This study will provide as an instrument for their research related activities and will help them gain insight about the study. It will serve also as a source for a new wider scope of related study.

internet, hosting and web servers .
