Perimeter of a triangleFormula: P= a+b+c
Find the Perimeter of a triangle using its formula:
1. whose sides 3.84 cm, 6.23cm, 5.6cm.
2. whose sides 97.4 cm, 85.6, 113 cm.

ObjectivesAt the end of forty-five minute period, thestudents will be able to:
A. master the concept in solving the perimeter of the square;B. give evidences to prove the usefulness in
solving perimeter of a square in real life situation; and
C. manipulate well in dealing certain things or objects.
Perimeter of a Square
The formula is “P=4s”
Is the measurement around the square and it has four equal sides.
Example 1Find the perimeter of the square
with the side of 225m.
Solution:
P= 4s ; where s=225m
= 4(225m) [by substitution]
= 900m
Example 2
Find the perimeter of the square with the side of 5/2 cm.
Find the perimeter of the squaregiven the side:
1. s= 30 units2. s= 25.3 mm
Find the side of the squaregiven the perimeter:
1. P= 27.53 cm2. P= 99 m
1. The diagonal of a square is 16 cm long find its perimeter.
16 cm
Is the distance aroundThe outside of the Square
A Square has 4 sides ofEqual length.
The formula for finding thePerimeter of a square
Is 4*s or P= 4s
PerimeterOf a
square
Solve the following problems:1. A square garden is to be fenced. One side is 5
¾ m. how long the fence needed to surround it on all sides?
2. A decorative mat is a square. One side is 45.5cm. How long an edging is needed to put borders on it?
Find the Perimeter of:
A. A square with s= 2.8 cmA square with s= 0.66 cmA square with s= 1.5 m
AssignmentI- Find the Perimeter of:1. A square with s= 2 ½ meter2. A square with s= 3.5 cm3. A square with s= 2 ¾ cm4. A square with s= 6.8 m5. A square with s= 12 ½ cm
II- Research about the Circumference of a circle.
