Dallas Area Rapid Transit is an extensive network of bus and rail service that moves more than 220,000 passengers per day, across a 700-square-mile service area.
Who We Are

DART is a regional transit agency that consists of 13 cities:
Addison, Carrollton, Cockrell Hill, Dallas, Farmers Branch, Garland, Glenn Heights, Highland Park, Irving, Plano, Richardson, Rowlett, and University Park.
Our service area population is over 2.3 million. About 72% of residents live within a quarter mile of DART service.

Route ImprovementsNew routes, improved frequency on a series of bus routes anticipated in FY 2018
New Vehicles41 new transit buses in FY 2019 will support another major bus service expansion
Enhanced Bus SheltersPrototype shelter was completed in FY 2017, which will serve as a model for future enhanced bus services and will have additional features normally associated with rail stations, including security cameras and next-bus information
