The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged two firms thatillegally brokered more than $79 million of investments by foreignersseeking U.S. residency. The charges are the first against brokers handlinginvestments in the government’s EB5 Immigrant Investor Program andfollow earlier SEC actions against fraudulent EB5 offerings.
