IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS (IRR)
IN THE CONDUCT OF THE
ONLINE PHOTO CONTEST
Theme: Recycling
IRR 1.0 GENERAL GUIDELINES
IRR 1.1 The online photo contest is open to all interested members of the NFJPIA Region
1 and CAR.
IRR 1.2 All photos must be original. No previously published material will be accepted.
The photo should be taken by the participants by themselves.
IRR 2.0 OBJECTIVES
This activity aims to provide JPIAns who are photography-enthusiasts, a tool to showcase their
skills in the said field. It also aims to improve the creativity and resourcefulness of the
participants by using recycled materials to create a fashion outfit.
This activity intends to show how JPIAns contribute in the promotion of environmental
awareness via waste management; how they reduce waste, reuse things not totally depreciated
and recycle goods idle in dump yards.
This activity aims to extract artistic images from creative minds of JPIAns, and to showcase the
beauty of a JPIAn.
IRR 3.0 REQUIREMENTS
IRR 3.1 Each Local Chapter can submit only one photo on or before September 2, 2012 bysending it to [email protected]
IRR 3.2 The focus of the picture is an outfit using recycled materials. The model/s will
wear these improvised outfits and the photo should be taken at a dumpsite or a
slum area.

IRR 3.3 Participants are required to indicate the type of camera used; the name of the
photographer and model/s; date and place of the picture; and other details.
IRR 3.4 Facebook users can start voting (liking) on September 3, 2012. The photo with the
highest number of likes in Facebook on the first day of the Convention at 6pm
will be declared the winner.

IN THE CONDUCT OF THE
POEM WRITING CONTEST
IRR 1.0 GENERAL GUIDELINES
IRR 1.1 This event is open to all bona fide members of NFJPIA-Region 1 and CAR for the
FY 2012-2013.
IRR 1.2 Participants must be present 15 minutes before the contest proper.
IRR 1.3 The theme will be given on the contest proper. This event is good for one (1) hour
only. Unfinished work will no longer be accepted.
IRR 1.4 All submissions must be original. No previously published material will be
accepted. Any form of plagiarism will result in automatic disqualification.
IRR 1.5 Participants are given two (2) working papers: one is for the draft and another one
to write their final piece and must be sent in neat and in good form.
IRR 1.6 Entries will be judged by:
Originality and creativity 40%
Relevance to the theme 30%
Structure of the Poem
(harmony of words, presentation) 20%
Impact to the Readers 10%
TOTAL 100%
IRR 1.7 In case of any concern, clarification, or protest during the contest which is not
governed by this IRR, the Chairman of the said competition shall have the
absolute power to decide on matters which deemed necessary to preserve and
protect the integrity of the event. His decision is final and non-appealable.

IRR 2.0 OBJECTIVES
This activity will serve as a tool in expressing the ideas and thoughts of the participants, and it
seeks to improve their communication skills.
This activity aims to sharpen JPIAns in the use of words, formulation and organization of
thoughts and thus, contributing to the English proficiency.
IRR 3.0 REQUIREMENTS
IRR 3.1 Fill-up application form and send it to [email protected] on or
before September 15, 2012.
IRR 3.2 The participants must submit the following:
a. Scanned copy of school ID
b. An endorsement letter from the school dean or LC adviser or duly appointed
representative.

IN THE CONDUCT OF THE
ESSAY WRITING CONTEST
IRR 1.0 GENERAL GUIDELINES
IRR 1.1 This event is open to all bona fide members of NFJPIA-Region 1 and CAR for the
FY 2012-2013.
IRR 1.2 Participants must be present 15 minutes before the contest proper.
IRR 1.3 The theme will be given on the contest proper. All entries must be in English with
a minimum of 800 words. This event is good for one (1) hour only. Unfinished
work will no longer be accepted.
IRR 1.4 All submissions must be original. No previously published material will be
accepted. Any form of plagiarism will result in automatic disqualification.
IRR 1.5 Each entry submitted must be the work of one person and should not be the
collective work of more than one person. By submitting an entry, applicants
certify that their essays are original, authored solely by them and do not infringe
upon the rights of any third parties.
IRR 1.6 In case of any concern, clarification, or protest which is not governed by this IRR,
the Chairman of the said competition shall have the absolute power to decide on
matters which deemed necessary to preserve and protect the integrity of the event.
His decision is final and non-appealable.
IRR 1.7 Entries will be judged by:

IRR 2.0 OBJECTIVES
This activity will develop the prowess in technical writing of the participants. It will serve as an
avenue to express their standpoint to pressing issues or concerns, to inform others about
something or to describe an idea, thought or experience.
Through technical writing, this activity aims to develop the communication skills of members of
the organization.
IRR 3.0 REQUIREMENTS
IRR 3.1 Fill-up application form and send it to [email protected] on or
before September 15, 2012.
IRR 3.2 The participants must submit the following:
a. Scanned copy of school ID
b. An endorsement letter from the school dean or LC adviser or duly appointed
representative.
IRR 3.3 All entries must have a separate summary of not more than 250 words. The
summary will be used by the jury to make a pre-selection.
IRR 3.4 Participants will be given three (3) working papers: one is for the draft, one for
the summary, and another one to write their final piece and must be sent in neat
and in good form.

IRR 2.0 OBJECTIVES
This activity aims to develop the participants’ skills in drawing/painting. It also improves the
creativity and skillfulness of the participants.
This will serve as avenue for the members of JPIA to express their thoughts via work of art. The
talents of artists are showcased increasing their morale.

IRR 3.0 REQUIREMENTS

IRR 3.3 Illustration Boards will be provided by the Council. Participants will be
responsible for the Art materials, paints, markers, pencils and other things needed
in the poster-making.

IN THE CONDUCT OF THE
LAST COMIC STANDING
IRR 1.0 GENERAL GUIDELINES
IRR 1.1 This event is open to all bona fide members of NFJPIA-Region 1 and CAR for the
FY 2012-2013.
IRR 1.2 Participants must be present 30 minutes before the contest proper.
IRR 1.3 A local chapter can have one participating group (with 3 members), duo, or any
representative (male or female) from this event.
IRR 1.4 The participants must be in their expected attire during the contest proper.
IRR 1.5 Using of foul and obscene words and non-verbal expressions are strictly
prohibited.
IRR 1.6 Total duration of performance is good for a maximum of five (5) minutes
exclusive of entrance and exit. Time begins when music starts or words have been
spoken. Excess of the time allotted will result in a point five (0.5) deduction in the
general weighted average in every 10 seconds, i.e. less than 10 seconds excess
time will be considered 10 seconds.

DRAMA FEST
Theme: The Role of Accountants in Nation-Building
IRR 1.0 GENERAL GUIDELINES
IRR 1.1 This event is open to all bona fide members of NFJPIA-Region 1 and CAR for the
FY 2012-2013.
IRR 1.2 A local chapter can create only one group with 5-10 members. The participants
must be in their expected attire during the contest proper.
IRR 1.3 Participants must be present 30 minutes before the contest proper.
IRR 1.4 Using of foul and obscene words and non-verbal expressions are strictly
prohibited.
IRR 1.5 Use of powerpoint/computer-generated production as backdrop is NOT allowed.
Use minimal narration. Focus more on the dialogues. Each member of the groupshould have some speaking lines.
IRR 1.6 Total duration of performance is good for a maximum of seven (7) minutes
exclusive of entrance and exit. Time begins when music starts or words have been
spoken. Excess of the time allotted will result in a point five (0.5) deduction in the
general weighted average in every 10 seconds, i.e. less than 10 seconds excess
time will be considered 10 seconds.

URBAN SHOWCASE
IRR 1.0 General Guidelines
IRR 1.1 This talent competition is aimed at developing the talents and skills of JPIAns. In
addition, it aims to improve the self-confidence and creativity of the participants.
IRR 1.2 A Local Chapter can have one participating group with a maximum of 15
members, or any representative for this event.
IRR 1.3 The participating group or representative must be present 1 hour before the
competition.
IRR 1.4 All participants must be in their expected attire during the contest proper.
IRR 1.5 Winners will be honored in the awarding ceremony. Only the top three (3) will be
recognized.
IRR 1.6 In case of any concern, clarification, or protest which is not governed by this IRR,
the Chairman of the said competition shall have the absolute power to decide on
matters which deemed necessary to preserve and protect the integrity of the event.
His decision is final and non-appealable.
IRR 2.0 Requirements
IRR 2.1 Participant (s) must comply with the following:
a. Application form
b. Brief rundown of the team’s description or the participant’s personal history.
It must not exceed four sentences or a 30-second video will do. Do not edit.
c. Soft copy of picture or group picture of any size attached.
d. Scanned copy of school ID
e. Current school registration form (certified true copy)

f. An endorsement letter from the school dean or LC adviser or duly appointed
representative.
Send these requirements on or before September 15, 2012 to
IRR 2.2 Accompanying music must be placed in a CD LC_name/Contetant’s_
Name/song#. (Give it and ask assistance in the technical before the contest
proper).
IRR 2.3 Failure to comply with the given major requirements would mean disqualification
of the participating group or representative.
IRR 3.0 General Mechanics
IRR 3.1 Total duration of performance is good for a maximum of five (5) minutes but not
less than three (3) minutes time exclusive of entrance and exit. Time begins when
music starts or words have been spoken.
IRR 3.2 Excess of the time allotted will result in a point five (0.5) deduction in the general
weighted average in every 10 seconds, i.e. less than 10 seconds excess time will
be considered 10 seconds.
IRR 3.3 Use of props is allowed, however, any considered hazardous weapon (i.e.
sharp/bladed objects, explosives and the like) is strictly prohibited.
IRR 3.4 The act will be judged according to the following:

IRR 1.3 All participants must be in their expected attire during the fashion show. The
theme is recycling so outfits must be created using recycled materials.
IRR 1.4 Winners will be honored in the awarding ceremony. The top three (3) best in
costumes will be recognized.
IRR 1.5 In case of any concern, clarification, or protest which is not governed by this IRR,
the Chairman of the said competition shall have the absolute power to decide on
matters which deemed necessary to preserve and protect the integrity of the event.
