IRLA PACKET-2G Dear Families,
Let us start with how much we appreciate YOU! We know that we all have undergone a HUGE change in the past few weeks. We do not expect you to become teachers overnight. We are trying to make this as easy and fun as possible to help your students continue to grow as readers! Please let us know what we can do to make it easier. We are here to support YOU!
Included in this packet are resources to help teach your child. This is a 2G IRLA Level Packet. Here is what you will find:
1) Schedule. This schedule will map out what your child will be practicing
every two weeks and what activities to do! Like we said, we want to make it fun and as easy as possible!
Many of the books you will be reading can be found on Bookshelf. To make it easier for you to access Bookshelf, and other fabulous reading resources, we are going to have you login in via Clever. Your teacher will show you how!!! :) Stay tuned!

Roll A Sight Word
This simple, but engaging game is a great way for your child to practice her/his Power Words and
Category Words.
Supply your child with a writing utensil and a die. The child will roll the die, say the word that is in
the column they rolled, write the word while saying the word and then read the word again. You can have your child play until one column of words is filled in completely
or until the entire board is filled out.
