Foxford Woollen MillsEstablished in 1892 by the Sisters of Charity. The Mill began weaving

40 years after the Great Famine when the West of Ireland was still considered a wasteland. The sheep farmed locally provided the raw material and the

River Moy provided the power.

Today Foxford still preserves the values of the past whilst also embracingthe future. The Mill now produces a thoroughly contemporary product.
