NSSF TENDER NO. 09/2013-2014 PROPOSED JOINT

VENTURE PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT IN MAVOKO

MUNICIPALITY (MACHAKOS COUNTY)

The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) was established in 1965 by an Act oParliament (Cap 258 o Laws o Kenya) to administer a provident scheme or all workersin Kenya.

In 1987, the Act was amended and NSSF transormed into an autonomous StateCorporation operating under the Board o Trustees, which is constituted by representativeso three key stakeholders i.e. the Government, Workers and Employers.

Membership o the Fund has grown steadily over the years to 1.2 million currently. TheFund manages an asset portolio o approximately US$1.3 Billion.

The National Social Security Fund invites sealed Tenders rom eligible and competentrms or Joint Ventures or Property Development in Mavoko Municipality and NairobiCentral Business District.Interested, qualied and eligible rms may obtain the Request or Proposal (RFP)

documents rom the Procurement Oce, 9th foor, room No. 905 upon payment oKshs. 1,000.00 non-reundable ee in cash or bankers cheque payable to the NationalSocial Security Fund at the cash oce on Podium Floor, Social Security House, Block A,Western Wing, Bishops Road Nairobi during working hours.

Submissions must be accompanied with the ollowing Mandatory requirements orpreliminary evaluation: -

a. Bid Security rom the Developer in the ormat and amount as indicated in the

appendix to instructions to bidders.b. Must have Developed and commissioned at least three (3) projects o residential

housing o a minimum value equivalent to Kshs. 20,000,000,000 (TwentyBillion) each or one (1) Residential Housing Project o a minimum value o Kshs.60,000,000,000 (Sixty Billion), not earlier than 1st April 2007.

c. Must provide evidence o Equipment and personnel capability or carrying out thework.

d. Must have a minimum annual turnover o Kshs. 50 billion in the last ve years.

e. Proo o lines o Credit or bank statements to support the bidders ability toundertake the project.

. Statement o tax Compliance rom Bidding Company, and i Consortium, romeach member o the consortium.

g. Must incorporate local consultants in their consortia who are registered with Boardo Registration o Architects and Quantity Surveyors o Kenya.

Completed Tender documents in plain sealed outer envelope enclosing separatelysealed envelopes Marked Technical and Financial both having two copieseach (original and copy) all clearly marked NSSF Tender No. 09/2013 - 2014 -Proposed Property Development in Mavoko Municipality (Machakos County) as perinstructions in the RFP documents and addressed to:-

Should be deposited in the Tender Box on 2nd Floor Block A, Western Wing; SocialSecurity House Nairobi on or before 11.00 a.m. local time on 29th November, 2013.Tenders will be opened immediately thereater in the Seminar Room on 4th foor,Social Security House, Block A, Western Wing, Nairobi in the presence o Tenderersrepresentatives who choose to attend.

A pre-bid meeting or interested tenderers is scheduled to be held at 10.00a.m on 30th

October, 2013 in the Conference Room on 4th Floor Social Security House, NairobiBlock A.
