Howard High’s theme correlates with this course well.

A cumulative, year-long research study demands persistence.

“Ambition is the path to success, persistence is the vehicle you arrive in.” -William Eardley IV

Every quarter students will receive a syllabus – “Grades and Assignments” sheet.

Students should pay close attention to all due dates and refer to the rubrics and assignment directions before turning in all assignments.

Students are responsible for checking the assignment sheet and submitting assignments without prompting.

(It’s on my website if it gets lost).

Most of the student’s time will be spent working independently.

This is a large responsibility and is not to be taken lightly.

A portion of his/her grade will depend on how well he/she works independently and how well he/she demonstrates qualities of an independent worker.

Qualities: time wisely, maintaining organization, managing your assignment deadlines and demonstrating initiative.

Students must leave the building at 1:15, signing out at the attendance window, unless they are attending my class. Staying in the building without my supervision will result in a discipline referral for cutting class.

There are weekly/bi-weekly mandatory seminars; students have the dates.

Students need to call mentors immediately if they will not be able to attend a scheduled time on site. They should also call and/or email me immediately.

A Few Procedures:
