    shall be made on the basis of CET rank / merit

    in relevant branch for NON GATE Candidates,

    c) For sponspored/Weekend Seats: A letter fromemployer must be furnished stating that the

    To commence from session 2014-15 with total examination as under:-

    B) Admission Criteria for CET candidates:

    a) Merit list on basis of qualied & valid GATE Score

    in A (II). If seats remain vacant after admitting

    students with qualied and valid GATE score, then

    the admission for vacant seats shall be made on the

    basis of CET rank / merit for NON GATE

    Candidates, subject to securing of a minimum of

    60% marks in qualifying examination.

    b) For industry sponsored: the merit list will be

    prepared on the folowing basis:

    1. Merit list of normal seats.

    2. One mark each for an additional year of

    experience but upto a maximum marks will be 110.

    The cutoff date for counting the experience shall be

    30.06.2014.

    3. Candidate should also have at least one year of

    professional experience.

    4. A letter from employer must be furnished stating

    that the candidate is being sponsored to seekadmission in M.Tech. (TE) Regular programme

    against sponsored seats.

    148 M.Tech. (Food Processing Technology) A)Eligibility condition:

    First Class BE/B.Tech (Food Technology / Chemical

    Technology/ Biochemical Engg. / Biotechnology) or

    equivalent rst class degree

    OR

    MS / M.Sc. (Chemistry / Biochemistry / Food Science /

    Microbiology / Biotechnology) or equivalent rst class

    B) Admission Criteria:

    a) Merit list on basis of qualied & valid GATE Scorein relevant branch.

    b) If seats remain vacant after admitting students with

    qualied and valid GATE Score in relevant branch,

    then the admission for vacant seats shall be made

    on the basis of CET rank/ merit in relevant branch

    for NON GATE candidates, subject to securing of a

    minimum of 60% marks in qualifying examination.

    Note : No GATE Scholarships will be available for the

    students for this admission session 2014-2016.

    150 M.Tech. (Engineering Physics) A) Eligibility Conditions:

    BE/B.Tech. (Electronics/Computer Science/Electrical/

    Engineering Physics/IT/IC (or) equivalent OR

    Post Graduation in Physics/Applied Physics/

    Electronics/Mathematics or equivalent with minimum

    of 55% marks in aggregate in the qualifying degree.

    The merit list will be prepared on the basis of qualied

    a minimum of 55% of marks in qualifying degree/

    exam.

    149 M.Tech. (Nano Science &Technology) A) Eligibility Conditions:

    M.Sc.(Physics/Applied Physics/Electronics

    Mathematics/Chemistry/Biotechnology/ Biosciences/

    Life Sciences): BE/B.Tech (Electronics/Computer

    Science/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Physics

    Metallurgy/Material Engineering/Information Technology/Biotechnology/Biomedical/Chemical Engineering or

    Technology); or equivalent*

    Minimum 55% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree

    and Mathematics as one of the subjects at + 2 or

    undergraduate level is a must.

    * Decision on equivalence taken by the University

    will be nal.

    B) Admission Criteria:

    The merit list will be prepared on the basis of qualied

    and valid GATE score. The next preference in the

    merit list will be given to NON GATE candidates based

    on rank obtained in the CET, subject to securing

    a minimum of 55% of marks in qualifying degree/

    exam.

    152 M. Tech. (Chemical Engineering) A) Eligibility Conditions:

    B.Tech./B.E. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent

    degree with 60% marks.

    B) Admission Criteria:

    After accomodating dual degree students, merit list

    will be prepared on the basis of the qualied and valid

    GATE score. If seats remain vacant after admitting

    students with qualied and valid GATE score, then

    the admission for the vacant seats will be made on

    the basis of rank obtained in the CET for NON-GATEcandidates.

    * Admission of the students passing out of GGSIPU: CPI awarded by Unversity to be treated as equivalentto percentage.

    Note:

    i) If in case of tie in score, the candidate older in age will be given priority.

    ii) The merit list may change subject to verication of GATE Score Card and other information from the

    original documents/mark sheets at the time of Counselling.

    iii) If all seats are lled from GATE candidates for M.Tech. (Regular and Weekend Programme) then there

    will be no counselling for NON-GATE candidates.

    iv) If the seats remain vacant after admitting students with qualied GATE score, the admission for those

    vacant seats shall be lled on the basis of marks obtained in CET 2014 for M.Tech. (Regular and Weekend Programmes).

    D. B.ARCH. PROGRAMME where NO CET will be held. (CET code-100)

    1(A) Eligibility Conditions

    Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks andmust have minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics as subject

    OR10+3 years diploma in Architecture recognized by the Central, State GovernmentsAll candidates possssing any of the above qualications must also have passed the NationalAptitude Test of Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture.

    1(B) Admission Criteria:

    Admissions will be made on the basis of NATA Score and the percentage of Aggregate marks i.e.(percentage will be calculated considering all the subjects) obtained in the qualifying examination,i.e. Senior secondary level or equivalent.

    2. Appearing in NATA Examination conducted by Council of Architecture

    (i) Basic Eligibility for NATA

    The aspirant should have passed Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) or its equivalentexamination from a recognized University or Board or Institute to apply for this exam. The aspirants currently appearing for the 10+2 exam are also eligible to attend the exam subject

    to some terms and conditions specied by the authority. The aspirants should have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects in the qualifying examination.

    The aspirant must have at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination and also in Mathematicsseparately.

    The aspirant should be physically and mentally t at the time of exam.

    (ii) All candidates are advised to take NATA Examination of the Council of Architecture at their own initiative,

    in such a manner so that result of the same is available with the candidate on or before 01.07.2014.It is once again reiterated that the candidates will have to take the NATA Examination at their own

    initiative for which neither University will give any separate intimation nor shall allow any candidate to

    take admission in its B.Arch. programme to candidates who do not hold the valid NATA Score.

    3. Candidates may note that NATA Score and marks lled at the time of submission of Online Application

    shall be considered nal and no change will be accepted in the NATA score/marks obtained in the

    qualifying examination.

    4. Merit List : Merit list shall be prepared based on:

    (i) Architectural Aptitude (NATA score) : 50%

    (ii) Qualifying Examination : 50% (i.e., 10+2 OR 10+3 years diploma

    recognized by the Central / State

    Governments)

    Notes :

    a. In order to pass the Architectural Aptitude Test (NATA) the candidate must obtain a minimum of 40% marks.

    b. In the inter-se-merit of candidates securing equal ranks, following criteria will be adopted to determinethe merit:

    i) The Candidate getting higher score in NATA;

    ii) In case of candidates securing equal scores in NATA, then the candidate getting higher marksin Maths of the qualifying examination;

    iii) In case of tie in (i) and (ii) above, the candidate getting higher marks in qualifying examination;

    iv) In case of tie in (i), (ii) and (iii) above, the candidate older in age shall rank higher.

    c. CET admit card will be issued by the University to be used as proof of identity of the candidates atthe time of counselling/admission.

    105 Master of Computer Applications (MCA) Bachelor's Degree of a recognized University in any MCA (Software Engineering) MCA(SE) discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate and

    must also have passed Mathematics and English (core

    or elective or functional) at least at the Senior School

    Certicate Examination (Class XII) of the CBSE or any

    other Examination recognized as equivalent thereto.

    OR

    BCA/BIT/BIS of a recognized University of at least three

    years duration with at least 50% marks in aggregate or

    any qualication recognized as equivalent thereto.

    OR

    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology or a

    qualication recognized as equivalent thereto with at

    least 50% marks in aggregate.

    106 Master in Mass Communication (MMC) Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University

    with aggregate of 50% marks.

    107 MPT (Neurology) Pass in Bachelor of Physiotherapy programme (BPT) of

    MPT (Musculoskeletal) 4years duration (including internship) with 50% marks

    MPT (Sports) in aggregate from a recognized University.

    155 MBA (on Weekend basis) A) Eligibility Conditions:

    i) Graduation or its equivalent in any disciplinewith atleast 50% marks in aggregate.

    ii) Atleast one year post-qualification executive/

    supervisory/teaching experience. The cut-off date

    for counting experience shall be 30th June, 2014.

    iii) A No-objection certicate is required to be submitted

    at the time of admission from the current employer.

    B) Admission Criteria:

    Admission shall be based on marks obtained in the

    qualifying examination(Graduation) and performance

    in Personal Interview.

    Merit list shall be prepared based on the following:

    a) 70% weightage will be given to the percentagesecured in the qualifying examination.

    b) 30% weightage will be given to the performance

    in Personal Interview.

    Thus the merit list shall be prepared on the basis

    of marks earned by each candidate from out of

    100 comprising of percentage of marks obtained in

    eligibility qualication and marks obtained in Personal

    week of June 2014 by the respective Dean of the

    176 Master of Jouralism & Mass A) Eligibility Conditions:

    Communication (MJMC) Graduation or its equivalent in any discipline withat least 50% marks in aggregate.

    B) Admission Criteria:

    Admission shall be based on marks obtained in the

    qualifying examination (Graduation) and

    2. The Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply provided:

    (a) That they are able to produce the proof of having acquired minimum prescribed qualications at the time

    of counselling/admission.OR

    (b) If the 12thclass/nal year/nal semester (as the case may be) result of qualifying degree/certicate

    examination is not declared by the concerned Board/University till the date of counselling/admission,

    his/her admission in that case will be provisional subject to the following conditions.

    (i) Afdavit on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.10/- in the prescribed Proforma (please see relevant

    Appendixin Part -E ). Further, in case the candidate is minor i.e. below 18 years of age; in that case,

    the afdavit shall be signed by his/her parent/guardian. Candidates/parents/guardians may further

    note that submission of false afdavit is a punishable offence;

    (ii) The candidate will have to submit the nal result of qualifying degree proving his/her eligibility on or

    before 30thSeptember 2014 (Tuesday) to their Concerned Dean/Principal/Director of their

    respective School/College/Institute where the admission has been granted. TheConcerned

    Dean/Principal/Director must submit the details of the results of these provisionally admitted students

    within 07 days, i.e. 7thOctober 2014, to the Joint Registrar (Admissions), Academic Reception

    Counter, Administrative Block, GGS Indraprastha University, Sec 16 C, Dwarka, New Delhi-110078

    duly signed by the authority;

    (iii) In case the candidate fails to submit his/her nal result of qualifying degree in the manner as prescribed

    under (ii) above to prove his/her eligibility on or before 30thSeptember 2014, whatsoever the reason

    may be, his/her admission will be treated as null and void (cancelled) and the entire fee will be

    forfeitedand under no any circumstances he/she will be allowed to appear in the End Term Exam.

    No extension beyond 30thSeptember 2014 shall be allowed by the university in any case . The

    Dean of the Schools/Director/Principal will be responsible to ensure that the eligibility of all

    students are checked by them to ensure correctness of admissions specially incase of

    provisional students. The provisional admission will automatically stand cancelled if thecandidates fails to submit result in time i.e. 30thSeptember 2014.

    Note: Those candidates who are seeking provisional admission due to non-declaration of their nal

    year/nal semester/12th class (please see relevant AppendixinPart -E) will however have to provide proof of

    having passed all papers in all the previous years/semesters of qualifying degree examination

    (whichever relevant).

    (c) It is further claried that provisional admission will be considered only in such cases where the result of

    Final year/semester of the qualifying degreehas not been declared by the concerned Board/University

    in its totality. In case the result has been declared by the concerned Board/University but it has not been

    declared in a specic case, for any reason, such cases will NOT be considered underprovisional

    admission category.

    (d) Provisionally admitted candidates will have a sufx () to the enrollment number printed on their admission

    slip. Provisionally admitted candidates are advised to check it on receipt of Admission Slip in addition

    to the other details.

    3. There will be no rounding-off of the percentage of marks of qualifying examination while

    deciding the basic eligibility of any candidate for admission for e.g. if a candidate obtained

    49.9% marks in his/her qualifying examination, then it will not be rounded-off to 50%. Therefore,

    the candidate is not eligible for that programme where minimum requirement of marks is 50%.

    In case candidate for any reason lls the minimum% wrongly in Verication Form, he/she shall

    be exclusively responsible.

    4. The eligibility in the LLB programme will be strictly laid down by Bar Council of India. As per Bar

    Council of India letter No. LE Cir.: 02/2010 dated 20.12.2010, it is stated that The applicants who

    have obtained 10+2 or graduation/post graduation through Open Universities system directlywithout having any basic qualication for prosecuting such students are not eligible for admission

    in the law courses.Ref.: BCI Letter No. BCI:D:1823/2010 (LE) dated 31.11.2010.

    II Physical Fitness

    The applicant must be in good mental and physical health and should be free from any physical defect which

    is likely to interfere with his/her studies including active outdoor duties required of a professional. Accordingly,

    all the students shall be required to submit a Medical Certicate indicating tness from a Registered Medical

    Practitioner as per format given in (please see relevant Appendix in Part -E).

    IV. Age Relaxation

    The upper age limit may be relaxed upto a maximum of ve years in exceptional cases by the Admission

    Ofcer of the concerned programme if he/she is satised with the merit of the case. Candidates exceeding

    the upper age limit upto ve years may provisionally apply/ appear in the Common Entrance Test. However,

    they would be required to submit to the satisfaction of the Admission Ofcer an explanation regarding the

    gap period, i.e., the details of the period spent by him/her after passing the qualifying examination to justify

    the relaxation. Such explanation should be in the form of an application to the concerned Admission Ofcer

    V. Relaxation in the Requirement of Marks for Reserved Category Candidates.Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Widows or Wards of Defence Personnel/

    1.3.2. BDS

    Candidate, who have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system conducted by the C.B.S.E./

    Council of the Indian School Certicate Examination/Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi with required

    subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from the recognized schools conducting regular

    classes situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi only, will be eligible for admission for

    BDS Programme.

    To claim seat under BDS programme for the academic session 2014-15, the candidate musthave studied 11thand 12thclasses regularly from a recognized school within the National CapitalTerritory of Delhi.

    1.4. MINIMUM AGGREGATE (MBBS & BDS)

    Candidate must have passed in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (Core or Elective orFunctional) individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks together in Physics, Chemistryand Biology (40% in case of SC/ST candidates, subject to availability of seat for these categories in therespective institutions).

    Notes:

    (a) All those candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry,Biology and English (Core or Elective or Functional) and expect to pass the examination with requiredpercentage of marks are also eligible to apply and appear in the CET: MBBS & BDS2014. However,their candidature will be considered only if they are able to produce documentary evidence ofhaving passed the qualifying examination with the required subjects and percentage of marksat the time of counselling for admission.

    (b) It is the responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they posses the requisite eligbility andqualications for admission. Appearing for the written examination does not necessarily mean acceptanceof eligibility.

    (c) There will be no rounding-off of the percentage of marks of qualifying examination while deciding the basiceligibility of any candidate for admission e.g. if a candidate obtained 49.9% marks in his/her qualifyingexamination, then it will not be rounded-off to 50%. Therefore, the candidate is not eligible for that programme

    where minimum requirement of marks is 50%. In case candidate for any reason lls the minimum% wronglyin verication form, he/she shall be exclusively responsible.

    (d) The cases of candidates who have qualied CET 2014, but have Compartment/Supplementaryin any paper of the qualifying examination degree at any stages, will be considered by theAdmission Ofcer as per University policy and accordingly he shall take nal decision regardinggrant of admission to such candidates during academic session 2014-15 as per University policy

    (i) Compartment/Supplementary cases at any stage who have appeared for examination(s)

    and the result of the same is/are not declared by the time of counselling/admission,such

    (ii) In case the result of the Compartment/Supplementaryexamination(s) is/are declared by thetime of admission/counselling and the candidate fullls the eligibility conditions as mentioned

    above, then such candidates would be eligibile for the admission for the academic session

    2014-15.

    2. SELECTION PROCEDURE

    2.1 CRITERIA FOR QUALIFYING CET : MBBS 2014

    Based on the result of Common Entrance Test : CET Code 103 (Stage-II) [CET : MBBS - 2014],

    separate merit lists will be prepared for each category. As per the Medical Council of India Guidelines,

    the candidates for admission must have come in the merit list prepared as a result of competitive

    Common Entrance Test : CET Code 103 [CET : MBBS - 2014] (Stage-II) by securing not less than

    50% marks for General Category Candidates and 40% in case of SC/ST Category Candidates, subjectto availabiity of seats for these categories in respective institutions. Accordingly, names of only those

    candidates who secure 50% or more marks (40% or more in case of SC / ST candidates) in the

    Common Entrance Test : CODE 103 [CET : MBBS-2014 (Stage-II)] will be included in the merit lists.

    2.2 CRITERIA FOR QUALIFYING CET : BDS - 2014

    Based on the result of Common Entrance Test:CET Code 104 [CET : BDS - 2014], merit list will be

    prepared for each category. As per the Dental/Medical Council of India Guidelines, the candidates for

    admission must have come in the merit list prepared as a result of competitive Common Entrance

    Test : CET Code 104 [CET : BDS - 2014] by securing not less than 50% marks for General category

    Candidates and 40% in case of SC/ST Category Candidates. Accordingly, names of only those candidateswho secure 50% or more marks (40% or more in case of SC / ST candidates) in the Common Entrance

    Test: CET Code 104 [CET: BDS - 2014] will be included in the merit lists.

    2.3 ALLOTMENT OF SEATS

    All seats will be eld up on the basis of the merit of MBBS as well as BDS CET-2014.

    2.4 INTER-SE MERIT

    For MBBS

    In the case of a tie i.e. the candidates obtaining equal marks in the Common Entrance Test, the INTER-

    SE merit will be decided on their performance in the Common Entrance Test: CET Code 103 (Stage-II

    only) by rst eliminating the marks secured in the Physics portion of the CET, and if there is still a

    tie then by eliminating the marks secured in the Chemistry portion of the CET and if there is still a

    tie then by eliminating the marks secured in the biology portion of the CET. If a tie still exists, the

    candidate older in age will be preferred.

    For BDS

    In the case of a tie i.e. the candidates obtaining equal marks in the Common Entrance Test, the INTER-

    SE merit will be decided on their performance in the Common Entrance Test: CET Code 104 by rst

    eliminating the marks secured in the Physics portion of the CET, and if there is still a tie then by

    eliminating the marks secured in the Chemistry portion of the CET and if there is still a tie then by

    eliminating the marks secured in the biology portion of the CET. If a tie still exists, the candidate older

    in age will be preferred.

    3. ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO ACMS FOR ARMY CATEGORYThe admission to the ACMS is for the childeren of eligible serving Army personnel, Ex Army personnel

    and war widows/widows of the Army. The children of following categories of Army personnel are eligible

    and they are required to submit the relevant certicate as given against the category applicable to them

    as proof of their eligibility for admission to ACMS at time of Counseling/Admission:

    (a) The applicants must fall into one of the following categories (Submit Certicate No 1 given

    as relevant Appendix in Part -E):

    (i) Children of serving Army personnel with minimum 10 years continuous service in the Army.

    (ii) Children of Ex-Army personnel granted/awarded regular pension, family pension, liberalized

    family pension or disability pension at the time of their superannuation, demise, discharge or Release/

    Invalidment Medical Board. This includes children of recruits medically boaded out and granted disability

    pension.

    (iii) Children of Ex-Army personnel who have taken discharge or been released aftert ten years

    of service.

    (b) Adopted/step children and children of remarried widows (Submit Certicate No 2 given as

    relevant Appendix in Part -E):

    (i) Adopted Children of Army personnel if adopted at least ve years prior to seeking admission.

    (ii) Step children are eligible, provided they are born from a wedding where at least one parent

    belonged to the Army and who is otherwise eligible.

    (c) Eligibility Criteria in Special Cases (Submit Certicate No 3 given as relevant Appendix in

    Part -E):

    (i) Children of Army Medical/Dental Corps Ofcers presently serving with Navy or Air Force who

    have served in the Army for at least 10 years.

    (ii) Children of APS personnel classied as Ex-serviceman as per Govt. of India, Ministry of

    Defense, letter No 9 (52)/88/D(Res) dated 19 Jul 89.

    (iii) Children of APS personnel who are on deputation and who have put in 10 years of service

    in the Army.

    (iv) Children of APS personnel who are directly recruited into APS & competed 10 years of

    service and who as per their terms and conditions of service, retired from APS without reversion to

    P&T Department after completing their minimum pensionable service of which 10 years was in the

    Army.

    (v) Children of members of MNS who have 10 years service as regular members of MNS or are

    in receipt of pension from the Army.

    (vi) Children of TA personnel who have completed 10 years of embodied service.

    Important instruction for Candidates seeking admission in ACMS:

    (a) It is the responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they posses the requisite qualications

    for admission. However, having been called for written test or counselling does not necessarily mean

    acceptance of eligibility. Final eligibility for admission will be decided by the ACMS at the time of

    Counseling and also later during the scrutiny of documents by the University. If a candidate is found

    to be ineligible at any time before or after the commencement of course, the College reserves the right

    to cancel his/her candidature without any refund of the fees/charges paid.(b) Additional Documents required to be produced in Original alongwith a photocopy at the time of

    Counseling/Admission to ACMS:

    (i) Proof of eligible category as per Para 3.1 (Submit Certicate as Applicable).

    (ii) Original & Photocopy of PPO, Service Record/Discharge Book, Identity Card/Serving Certicate

    and Dependant Card.

    (iii) Willingness Certicate (Certicate No 4 given as relevant Appendix in Part -E).

    (c) Children of Air Force, Navy and Paramilitary forces like CRPF, BSF, ITBP, CISF, Assam

    Rifes, GREF and DSC are not eligible for the admission in ACMS.

    B. POST GRADUATE MEDICAL COURSES COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (PGMC)(CET CODE-102)

    1. NATIONALITY:

    Candidate should be an Indian citizen. Non-Resident Indians and Foreign Nationals are not eligible.

    2. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION

    2.1 Every candidate selected for admission to PGMC shall possess MBBS degree from a medical

    college afliated to GGSIPU and must have completed one year compulsory rotatory internship on or

    before 31st March, 2014. The candidate should have obtained permanent registration with the Medical

    Council of India or any of the State Medical Council or should obtain so within one month of admission.

    2.2. The candidate must have obtained 600 marks out of 1200, i.e., 50% marks in the Post GraduateMedical Common Entrance Test in case of general category and 40% marks in case of candidates

    belonging to SC and ST category, i.e., they are required to obtain 480 marks out of 1200.

    2.3 The candidates should be medically t to pursue the allocated course on Medical Examination.

    The selected candidate will be required to undergo Medical Examination by duly constituted medical

    board at the assigned institution. The candidate shall not be allowed to join the course, if he/she is

    found medically unt for the course.

    2.4. The in-service candidates should submit their applications through proper channel or attach a

    No Objection Certicate (NOC) from their employer to the effect that they have no objection and the

    candidates will be relieved/granted study leave for pursuing the course and the certicate should be

    available at the time of Counselling. In case the candidate is unable to submit the application through

    proper channel or attach NOC at the time of submitting the application, he must produce the same

    at the time of counselling failing which he /she will not be eligible for the counselling.

    2.5. After declaration of result of Post-Graduate Medical Entrance Test (CETCode:102), a candidate

    who is in service and who is likely to get admission, should initiate the process of obtaining Study

    Leave/getting relieved so that he/she is able to join the course concerned by the stipulated date.

    2.6. No candidate shall be allowed to join a course unless he/she has been relieved/sanctioned

    study leave from his/her employer.

    2.7 Candidates who are already admitted to any Post Graduate Medical Degree/Diploma

    Course in any University/Institution as on the date of counselling will not be eligible for

    admission. Candidate will be required to give an undertaking/ Declaration in the proforma as per

    relevant Appendix in Part -E. Candidates who have taken admission in any Post Graduate MedicalDegree Course through Common Entrance Test conducted by this University during the academic

    session 2012-13 or 2013-14 and subsequently resigned from the course concerned are not eligible.

    2.8. Candidate, who has passed a Post-Graduate Degree course, will not be given admission to

    Diploma Course in the same subject.

    2.9. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Post-Graduate Admission Committee shall be nal.

    However, an appeal could be made to the Vice-Chancellor, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University

    against such a decision.

    3. SELECTION PROCEDURE

    3.1 In respect of criteria for qualifying CET: PGMC 2014 separate merit list will be

    prepared for each category based on the result of Common Entrance Test: CETCode : 102. The admissions would be made strictly on the basis of this merit of the eligible candidates

    determined by marks obtained in the CET:PGMC 2014.

    3.2 In case where two or more candidates obtain equal marks in CET: PGMC 2014, the inter-se merit

    of such candidates will be determined in order of preference as mentioned below:

    3.2.1 The candidate, who has secured higher aggregate of marks after taking into consideration marks

    secured in the three professional examinations of M.B.B.S. course in the rst/ less number of

    attempts will be given preference for admission.

    3.2.2 If such candidates also have equal marks in M.B.B.S. course (after taking into consideration

    marks secured in the three professional examinations), then the candidate older / oldest in age

    will rank higher in merit for admission.

    C. SUPER SPECIALITY MEDICAL COURSES (SSMC)

    1. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

    1. NATIONALITY

    Candidate should be an Indian citizen. Non-Resident Indians and Foreign Nationals are not eligible.

    2. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

    2.1The candidate must have passed nal MBBS examination and must have completed satisfactorily

    one year compulsory rotating internship.

    2.2 The candidate must have full registration with the Delhi Medical Council/State Medical Council/Medical Council of India.

    2.3 The candidate must have passed the Post graduate (MD/MS/DNB) examination, as per

    details mentioned in para 3 of this Chapter, before the of date of commensement of rst counselling.

    (*The candidate holding Diplomate of National Board of Examination will be eligible for admission toSuper Specialty Courses, provided they have done thesis work. Evidence of thesis shall be producedby the candidate.

    2.4 The candidate should be medically t to pursue the allocated course on medical examination.

    (i) FOOD MICROBIOLOGY

    Characteristics of microorganisms: Morphology, structure and detection of bacteria, yeast and mold in food, Sporesand vegetative cells; Microbial growth in food: Intrinsic and extrinsic factors, Growth and death kinetics, serial dilutionmethod for quantication; Food spoilage: Contributing factors, Spoilage bacteria, Microbial spoilage of milk and milkproducts, meat and meat PRODUCTS; FOODBORNE disease: Toxins produced by Staphylococcus, Clostridiumand Aspergillus; Bacterial pathogens: Salmonella, Bacillus, Listeria, Escherichia coli, Shigella, Campylobacter;Fermented food: Buttermilk, yoghurt, cheese, sausage, alcoholic beverage, vinegar, sauerkraut and soya sauce.

    (ii) MOLECULES AND THEIR INTERACTION RELAVENT TO BIOLOGY

    Structure of atoms, molecules and chemical bonds. Composition, structure and function of biomolecules(carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, nucleic acids and vitamins). Stablizing interactions (Van der Waals, electrostatic,hydrogen bonding, hydrophobic interaction, etc.).Principles of biophysical chemistry (pH, buffer, reaction kinetics,thermodynamics, colligative properties). Bioenergetics, glycolysis, oxidative phosphorylation, coupled reaction, grouptransfer, biological energy transducers. Principles of catalysis, enzymes and enzyme kinetics, enzyme regulation,mechanism of enzyme catalysis, isozymes Conformation of proteins (Ramachandran plot, secondary structure,domains, motif and folds). Conformation of nucleic acids (helix (A, B, Z), t-RNA, micro-RNA). Stability of proteinsand nucleic acids. Metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids, amino acids nucleotides and vitamins.

    (iii) CELLULAR ORGANIZATION

    Membrane structure and function (Structure of model membrane, lipid bilayer and membrane protein diffusion,

    osmosis, ion channels, active transport, membrane pumps, mechanism of sorting and regulation of intracellulartransport, electrical properties of membranes). Structural organization and function of intracellular organelles (Cellwall, nucleus, mitochondria, Golgi bodies, lysosomes, endoplasmic reticulum, peroxisomes, plastids, vacuoles,chloroplast, structure & function of cytoskeleton and its role in motility). Organization of genes and chromosomes(Operon, unique and repetitive DNA, interrupted genes, gene families, structure of chromatin and chromosomes,heterochromatin, euchromatin, transposons). Cell division and cell cycle (Mitosis and meiosis, their regulation, stepsin cell cycle, regulation and control of cell cycle). Microbial Physiology (Growth yield and characteristics, strategiesof cell division, stress response).

    (iv) SYSTEM PHYSIOLOGY - PLANT

    Photosynthesis - Light harvesting complexes; mechanisms of electron transport; photoprotective mechanisms;CO2 xation-C3, C4 and CAM pathways. Respiration and photorespiration Citric acid cycle; plant mitochondrialelectron transport and ATP synthesis; alternate oxidase; photorespiratory pathway. Nitrogen metabolism - Nitrateand ammonium assimilation; amino acid biosynthesis. Plant hormones Biosynthesis, storage, breakdownand transport; physiological effects and mechanisms of action. Sensory photobiology - Structure, function andmechanisms of action of phytochromes, cryptochromes and phototropins; stomatal movement; photoperiodismand biological clocks. Solute transport and photoassimilate translocation uptake, transport and translocation ofwater, ions, solutes and macromolecules from soil, through cells, across membranes, through xylem and phloem;transpiration; mechanisms of loading and unloading of photoassimilates. Secondary metabolites - Biosynthesis ofterpenes, phenols and nitrogenous compounds and their roles.
