“Password”. Click “Submit” button.

to the “Filing of Pawnbroker‟s Returns” Screen.

Step 11: User can modify the “Submitter Email ID” field if it is incorrect

Step 12: . Select the returns type from the “Type of Returns” dropdown box. Select the “Month” and ”Year” the

returns are to be filed for (e.g. Summary of Items Pawned in Apr 2012).

Step 13: Click on “Browse” button to upload the returns file.

Step 14: Click on “Submit” button to submit the returns file.

NOTE: Please ensure that the latest/correct templates are used

for filing of returns. Refer to download page to verify

Q1: Why I can‟t access the link (Filing of Pawnbroker's Returns (<= 2MB)? Ans: Your User ID /Sing Pass ID may not have granted access roles. Please send email to

ipto_rompreturns@ipto.gov.sg to log your case.

Q2: I tried uploading numerous times, but was unsuccessful each time. Ans: You may have used old excel templates. Please ensure the latest/correct templates are used.

IMPORTANT : Ensure no changes to the templates are made (e.g. do not change cell format, do not merge

the cells, do not add/delete any rows in the worksheet). Use the templates as it is.

Follow below steps to download the latest returns files templates

1. Go to URL ( www.iptoonline.gov.sg )

2. Click on “Download” link on the top menu of the screen.

3. Download the required template files (in excel format) under the Pawnbrokers section.

Q3: Why I got „Invalid returns file uploaded. Please ensure valid excel file (.xls) is

uploaded.‟ error in my error log sent through email? Ans : You might not have saved the returns file in the correct format . Save your returns excel file with

correct format i.e. (.xls) format.

Q4: I need to amend an approved returns submission, but the system do not allow me to re-submit for

approved returns.

Ans : You have to send an email to ROP to request to allow you to re-submit an approved returns file.

questions(FAQ)

Q5: I submitted returns for Apr 2012, but error log indicated that I filed for the wrong

period. Ans: You may have selected to file for Apr 2012 in the eSubmission page, but in your returns file, the period

entered is different. Both periods in eSubmission page and the returns file have to be the same.

The system allows Pawnbrokers to file for previous month returns from 1-15 of the month.

Example:

From 1- 15 Jun - Pawnbrokers should file for May‟ 12 returns. Pawnbrokers have to file the following returns

for the month May‟12 :

a)Summary of Item Pawned in May 12

b)Result of Sales of Pledges in May 12

c)Unclaimed Surpluses in May 12

Returns for Month is the submission month that you submit returns to ROP.

Q6: How to check the returns file is more than 2 MB?

Ans: Right click on the returns file and select the „Properties‟ option in the listed menu. The file size will be

displayed in „KB‟ (Kilo Bytes). (Example: 1024 KB = 1 MB)
