IntroductionWhy we choose this topic? - Nowadays, I-product is popular in Hong
Kong. It is not difficult to see that people are using their smart phones, tablet computer to chat with friends or play games.
In our observation, some of our classmates would play games on such products. These stimulate our team to investigate this creative area- “How technologies affect the game development in the future?”

Motion Sensor a motion sensing input device range camera technology which developed a system
that can interpret specific gestures, making completely hands-free control of electronic devices possible by using an infrared projector and camera and a special microchip to track the movement of objects and individuals in three dimension. This 3D scanner system called Light Coding employs a variant of image-based 3D reconstruction.
E.g. Kinect for XBOX360

Multi-touch Technology
Types:ResistiveCapacitive

Resistive TouchscreenThe screen is coated with electrically
conductive and resistive layers. Insulating spacers separate the two conductive or resistive layers. When pressure is applied to the screen, by a finger or other objects, the layers are brought into electrical contact which causes a switch closure and a command is registered.

Capacitive TouchscreenA capacitive touchscreen panel consists
of an insulator such as glass, coated with a transparent conductor such as indium tin oxide(ITO). As the human body is also an electrical conductor, touching the surface of the screen results in a distortion of the screen's electrostatic field, measurable as a change in capacitance. Different technologies may be used to determine the location of the touch. The location is then sent to the controller for processing.

Phantom sensation(Kajimoto)
The aim is to develop a system where by it is possible to simulate the sensation of an object passing through your hand or other part of your body
![Page 15: Iproduct presentation](https://reader036.fdocuments.in/reader036/viewer/2022070303/54954923b47959744d8b4d14/html5/thumbnails/15.jpg)
it works on the principle that if you stimulate two areas of skin at the same time, it can give the sensation of something passing between them. In the initial experiments, when you do this on the palm and back of a person’s hand, it can easily be made to feel like something passes through it.

Electromyography (NeuroSky) Brainwave Sensors a technique for evaluating and recording the electrical
activity produced by skeletal muscles. EMG is performed using an instrument called an electromyograph, to produce a record called an electromyogram. An electromyograph detects the electrical potential generated by muscle cells when these cells are electrically or neurologically activated. The signals can be analyzed to detect medical abnormalities, activation level, recruitment order or to analyze the biomechanics of human or animal movement

Artificial Intelligent (A.I.)Have not applied in games yet.
So, it may be a new trend in the future.
Characters in games have their own mind. It can improve the interact between players and games.
Similar example: Siri (I Phone)
![Page 18: Iproduct presentation](https://reader036.fdocuments.in/reader036/viewer/2022070303/54954923b47959744d8b4d14/html5/thumbnails/18.jpg)
Problems
Brainwave Sensors :We even don’t need to click move our hand to click any button>>less exercise>>obese(unhealthy)(tend to move less d)Phantom sensation + Kinect: real and virtual world >>boundary not clear>>people likely to enjoy virtual more>>poor social skill, less communication
