✤ Parents refuse to go to school for formation programs (usually held on sundays)

Why? they do not have time, household

chores are more important, etc.

✤ Parents who do not attend, are also the same parents who have many complains about the school, its practices, etc.

✤ Trust & relationship between parents and the school needs to be established

✤ Parents will be invited to spend a day in the school

✤ This event will be organized by teachers, members of the PTA, and will mostly be facilitated by parents themselves

✤ 2. School Tour and Classroom observation with Parent Facilitators

✤ 5. Fellowship

✤ 6. Introduce parents to a social network of parents (ning)- evaluation and discussions can be continued here

Reflection

✤ Parents will share about how their observation is in line with IPP (as introduced in an earlier session)

✤ Parents will share/talk about their observations, talk about their realizations, what is still bothering them, etc. (as guided by the classroom observation questions given by Donna)

✤ Online social network will be a venue for the parents to fill up the evaluation and start discussions or blogs

✤ Contined mentoring between parents (parent companions)

✤ Invitation to participate more in creating more programs for parents/ by being part of the PTA
