Introduction

• PLN will procure IPPs to develop some projects to meet electricity demand in Sumatra & Bangka Island through a competitive tender process

• 6 Projects:• 6 Projects: – 5 Coal Fired Steam Power Plant – 1 Gas Fired Power Plant

• PLN will enter into PPA with the selected IPP for 25 year term in a Build‐Own‐Operate‐Transfer (BOOT) scheme (coal), and 20 year term in a Build‐Own‐Operate (BOO) scheme (gas)20 year term in a Build‐Own‐Operate (BOO) scheme (gas). 

• No Government Guarantee will applicable

• Consortium 2 – 4 membersConsortium, 2  4 members• Shall have adequate experience as IPP developer as well as O&M and/or EPC

• Shall have adequate financial strength• Has minimum of 5A2 rank from D&B (Dun & Bradstreet)

Sumbagsel 1 Mine-mouth Coal Fired PP (2x150 MW)

• Scheme: Mine-mouth Coal Power Plant

• Net/Contracted Capacity: 2x150 MW (+/- 10%)

• Location: South Sumatra

• Connection Point: radialto existing Baturaja SS 150 kV

• Estimated Investment: USD 450 M

• Expected COD: 2018-2019

• Contract term: 25 years

• Contract scheme: BOOT

Mine Mouth Power Plant Criteria

Mine Mouth Power Plant Criteria

1. Mining Company:g o pa y• Shall have coal mining experience: in operation and production• Holds IUP Operasi Produksi with Clean and Clear status for the 

d i iproposed mining area• Having sufficient coal reserve to  support power plant for 

minimum 30 years operation, proven by JORC report

2. Power Company:• Shall have IPP development experience• Has minimum of 5A2 rank from D&B

3. Other member• Has minimum of 5A2 rank from D&B• Has minimum of 5A2 rank from D&B
