THE PHARMACEUTICAL SECTOR GENERATES 58PERCENT OF THE COUNTRY’S EXPORTS WHICHCONTRIBUTES TO MAKING IRELAND THE SECONDLARGEST NET EXPORTER OF MEDICINES IN THEWORLD.

THE PHARMACEUTICAL SECTOR DIRECTLY EMPLOYSOVER 24,500 PEOPLE, OVER HALF OF WHICH ARETHIRD LEVEL GRADUATES.

MEDICINES HAVE HELPED TO IMPROVE LIFE EXPECTANCY INIRELAND BY OVER A THIRD IN THE LAST SEVENTY YEARS, FROM57 IN 1925 TO 79 TODAY.

THE USE OF MEDICINES HAS CONTRIBUTED TO REDUCING THENUMBER OF DEATHS FROM HEART DISEASE AND STROKE BYNEARLY A HALF.
