The Inte n ti n l P ult y Exp nd Inte n ti n l feed ExpThe International Poultry Expo and International Feed Expo is the worlds largest display of technology, equipment, supplies,and services used in the production and processing of poultry and eggs and for those involved in feed manufacturing. Allsegments of the industry are represented, including feed milling, hatchery, live production, processing, further processing,marketing, and all support activities.Exhibitors feature products and services related to poultry genetics, incubation/hatching, growing, nutrition/feedmanufacturing, processing, further processing and marketing of poultry meat and egg products. The Expo offersopportunities for networking, education and technology information exchange for those involved in the worldwidecommercial poultry industries.

ab ut the IPEThe International Poultry Expo is the primary source of funding for the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association, the worlds largestand most active poultry organization. It represents the entire industry as an All Feather association. Membership includesproducers and processors of broilers, turkeys, ducks, eggs, and breeding stock, as well as allied companies. Formed in 1947,

the association has af liations in 27 states and member companies worldwide. This nonpro t organization represents itspoultry and egg members through research, education, communications and technical services.Funds earned at the International Poultry Expo are funneled directly back into the industry in the form of research grants,educational programs, communications, and technical assistance.

WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY format with the following show hours:Tuesday, January 24, 2012: 12 5 pm

Wednesday, January 25, 2012: 9 am 5 pmThursday, January 26, 2012: 9 am 3 pmThe entire week in which the International Poultry Expo will be held has been of cially designated as IPE Week, with anemphasis on educational programs rounding out the week-long event. With the Expo starting at noon on Tuesday, the shift

will help allow an increase in the amount of education programs available at the front and back end of the Expo.Our long-standing International Poultry Scienti c Forum, Pet Food Conference, Animal Agriculture Sustainability Summit,and USPOULTRY Education Programs are an important part of IPE and provide people with an additional purpose for attending the Expo, comments John Starkey, president of U.S. Poultry & Egg Association. We are working on a tentativeschedule of conferences for 2012 to include several new programs designed to provide our attendees and exhibitors with

the most up-to-date, relevant information concerning the poultr y and feed industry. IPE Week gives us an opportunity toprovide additional education programs, something we have not been able to do in the past.

The Expo has been held in Atlanta, Ga., for the past 63 years.

The 63rd annual International Poultry Expo featuring its fth year with the International Feed Expo produced very impressive attendance numbers.Attendance totaled 20,742 for the 2011 show up from 18,896 in 2010. International attendees numbered 4371, anincrease of 505 over 2010 with Latin America constituting the largest segment at 43% of non-US attendees.
