  • It is person-to-person contact, it includes everyday exchange that may be formal or informal and can take place anywhere by means of words, sounds, facial expression, gestures and postures.

    Interpersonal communication is the humans ability to turn meaningless words into spoken and written words, through which they are able to make known their needs, wants, ideas and feelings

  • Interpersonal Communication is a two way process where the speaker says something and the listener receives something.

    However, effective communication ensures that thereceiver gets just the message that the sender intends to give and then respond to it.

  • There are seven element of Interpersonal Communication:1.Sender Person who sends information.2.Coding Act of putting meaning into verbal and nonverbal messages.3.Message Content of information sent by sender.4.Decoding Deriving meaning from the messages you receive from others. 5.Receiver Person who receives the information sent.6.Feedback Response from receiver.7.Channel The medium through which message pass.

  • Do not make the other person feel that you are judging them.Be Honest tell the exact feelings.It is better to approach people on equal terms.When you are in Romes do as Romans do.Dont use unclear sentences or words.

  • Make your verbal and non-verbal communication congruent.

    Be careful about volume, speed, pitch and tune.

    Paying attention not only to the story, but how it is told, the use of language and voice, and how the other person uses his or her body tocommunicate.

    Concentrate and use your other senses in addition to simply hearing the words spoken.
