any device. This guide is designed to provide instructions on how to backup your school files to
Google Drive and iCloud.

� Backing up iWork
iWorks Files (Pages, Keynote, Numbers)You can sync all of your iWorks files to iCloud via your AppleID:
Go to Settings and make the following adjustments
On the left hand side, go to each iWork app and turn on ‘Use iCloud’
Once these settings have been changed, open each iWorks app and you will see all of your presentations.
� Backing up Notability
Notability To backup to Google Drive Select the gear in the lower left corner
Click on Auto-backup on the left and then choose Google Drive
Select the gear to edit settings.
Choose your destination Google Drive folder where you want to store the backed up files.
Choose which format you would like to save your Notability files.
(FYI : Saving in pdf format prevents future editing Saving as a notability file allows for future edits)
�Backing Up Explain Everything
Explain Everything To backup to Google Drive:
-Select the Share button
-Select the file you will be sharing
Explain Everything cont. Select the area that says “More”
Select the Google Drive icon
Select the file format you would like to export your files:
Saving as a “Project” will save your file as an Explain Everything XPL file.
Saving as a “PDF” prevents future editing
Select Google Drive in bottom of window and choose which folder to store your files.
Click “Export” and your files will start uploading to Google Drive
�General FAQ’s on Backing up Data
Do I need to backup Google Files?It is not necessary to backup Google Files (ie: Docs, Sheets, Presentations, Forms) These are automatically saved to your Google Drive.
How do I backup files created in Apps such as “PicCollage,” “Chatterkids,” and “Puppetpals?”
Each of these apps has a feature which will allow you to either Share or Export your files to the Camera Roll.

What about backing up data in Miscellaneous apps I have installed on my iPad, such as games or Educational drill apps?
While you will be able to re-download these apps in the new school year, unfortunately there is not a way to save your progress.

How do I make sure my Camera Roll is backed-up?
You can sync all of your Photos to iCloud via your AppleID:
Go to Settings and make the following adjustments: On the left hand side, click on iCloud Make sure toggle for Photos is showing “On”
