HEALTH INSURANCE WAIVER--CASH IN LIEU OF
Ionia Public Schools offers a cash-in-lieu of program for those employee’s who would like to opt out of the Employer Sponsored Health Insurance. The employee will still receive the Employer Sponsored Dental and Vision Insurance.
To be eligible, you must provide proof that as an employee you can obtain health insurance through your spouse’s employment.
As an employee, you will still receive the Employer Sponsored Dental, Vision and Life insurance through Ionia Public Schools.

The dollar value of the cash-in-lieu of is $188.25. This may be received as additional pay in your paycheck, or as a Tax Deferred Annuity deposit through any 403b companies that Ionia Public Schools participates with. (Please see Supplementary Information Slide) This contribution is made to the employee on the 1st pay of the month.
