The Outreach Symposium is a collaborative event hosted by

CheckUP and the Queensland Aboriginal and Islander Health

Council to showcase best practice models that are delivering

health care services to Queenslanders.

Hear first hand from providers about their successes in

delivering Outreach services in their region.

The Symposium will bring together managers and health care

leaders to discuss opportunities to apply successful service

delivery models in other regions in Queensland.

You will have numerous networking opportunities so you can

make new connections and develop relationships with other

health care organisations.

Outreach is a flagship primary health care service model that

brings together and streamlines multiple statewide

programs. Outreach delivers much needed health services

across Queensland, particularly in the most remote and

isolated corners of Queensland.

The overall aim of Outreach is to improve health outcomes

for Queenslanders through increasing health service access

by providing the right care, in the right place at the right time.

Services span general healthcare planning and health

screening, and access to allied health professionals, GPs

and visiting specialists. Having the health professional visit

the community reduces the economic burden to the

community, family and individuals, which in turn improves

clinical best practice and drives better health outcomes.
