SWEDISH EMBASSY Invitation to Expert Seminar on HIV/Aids In Abuja, Tuesday 11 th of November 2003. – At NICON Hilton. 2.15 p.m. In Lagos, Thursday 13 th of November 2003 At Eko Hotel, Lagos. 09.00 a.m. In connection to the official Swedish trade delegation to Nigeria 9-15 November, we have the honour to invite you to a HIV/Aids seminar with key experts. The HIV/Aids issue affects all aspects of both public and business life. It is of crucial importance that experiences can be shared between different professions as well as between different countries. Mr Gunnar Lund, head of the Swedish trade delegation and Minister of International Economic Affairs and Financial Markets will inaugurate the Seminar. Chairman of the seminar will be the Swedish Ambassador for HIV/Aids issues: Mr. Lennart Hjelmåker. Guest of Honour: H.E. Prof Eyitayo Lambo Nigerian Minister of Health (to be confirmed) Key Note Speakers: Secretary General Ms. Katarina Lindahl, RFSU - Swedish Association for Sexuality Education. Ms Lindah will speak about the importance of preventive work and also present some experiences of the collaborative, projects in Africa. Dr. Sonny Chinenye, MD from Port Hartcourt. Tetra Pak – Mr Björn Wille and Mr Gary Klugman Tetra Pakin South Africa. Presentation of Tetra Pak’s work with theproduct e-Pap, nutrition to increase quality of life for peopleliving with HIV/Aids. Also lessons from some of the pilotnutrition projects ongoing in South Africa and Tanzania.
Mr Lars Skoglund, Ingvar Pettersson and Mr. Simon Gronowitz, from CavidiTech AB. A Swedish research based biomedical company focused ondeveloping affordable methods for HIV viral load monitoring and detection, alsosuitable in resource poor settings. The ExaVir Load product, and results fromstudies, will be presented.
Mr. Jörgen Handel, Senior Advisor, International Council of Swedish Industry,Mr. Handel will present the Swedish business communities’ work in connection oHIV/Aids
