The Bidder should have contracts completed and under implementation as prime contractor, joint venture member, management contractor or sub-contractor within the last 5 years, with a minimum construction experience in the following key activities successfully completed: Bulk Earthworks of 43,000m3 per month Concrete works of 850m3/month Pipework greater than DN525mm at 0.8km per month

Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) proceduresas specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants, January 2011 revisedJuly 2014 (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in theProcurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth theWorld Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of Land, Housingand Urban Development ([email protected]) and inspect the biddingdocuments during office hours (i.e. 0800 to 1700 hours) at the address given below

A pre-bid meeting will be held on Wednesday, 8th July 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the addressbelow.

A complete set of bidding documents in English Language may be purchased by interestedeligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to The Principal Secretary,Ministry of Land, Housing and Urban Development, Nairobi Metropolitan Development,KICC Building, Harambee Avenue, 25th Floor, Room 2520, Nairobi, Kenya and uponpayment of a non-refundable fee of KES 1,000 (Kenya Shillings One Thousand). Thepayment shall be made by cash or bank cheque.

Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before Wednesday, 12th August 2015 at12:00 noon. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will bepublicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone whochooses to attend at the address below on Wednesday, 12th August 2015 at 12:05 p.m.

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of KES 70,000,000(Kenya Shillings Seventymillion) or equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
