The 74th General Assembly and Congress confirmed to entrust the Ministry of Defence of the

Republic of Kenya with the organization of the 75th CISM General Assembly and Congress in 2020.

The CISM President has the honor to convoke in statutory session the CISM member nations, the

CISM authorities to its 75th General Assembly and Congress whose activities will take place from the 1st to 10th May 2020 in Nairobi, Kenya.

Hotel reservation will require credit card details. Rooms will be assigned on FIRST COME FIRST

SERVED basis. Credit Card, Visa and Master Card are accepted. Payment in cash upon arrival is also

acceptable. Any extra expenses will be charged to guests with payments expected before check-out.

Due to the 'first come first served’ rule in both hotels, Kenya Defence Forces shall coordinate

distribution of delegates in each hotel.

3.2. Meals, food & beverages

Breakfast and dinner (except Opening and Closing Dinner) will be taken in respective official hotels for

the event.

Water, Juice and Soft Drink will be served free of charge during all meals. Additional beverages will be

charged to the consumers.

From 6 to 10 May, lunch for all participants will be taken at Safari Park Hotel at the host’s expense. On

all other days, lunches will be taken in respective official hotels for the event. All meals will respect international standards with reference to the respect of religious culinary specificities and meals composition will be clearly indicated.

3. Facilities

The officially designated hotels offer a wide range of facilities for all in-house delegates such as Wi-Fi,

Gym and Business Center.

4. Composition of Delegation & Verification of the Credentials of the Delegates

Each Delegation shall comprise one Chief of Delegation and a maximum of two Delegates for a total of

three members.

Additional CISM authorities members (BOD members, Commission Members, PCSC, LO) can be

registered too. The table below details the maximal number of participants for each CISM Member

Nation.

5. Spouses Program

Spouses are most welcome and at least two activities will be organized for them (01 day shopping and

01 day tour to the Nairobi Museum).

6. Cultural Day

Kenya Defence Forces offers to all delegates and spouses a visit to Nairobi National Park Animal

Orphanage/Bomas of Kenya. Delegates are requested to confirm their attendance in advance for better

arrangements.

7. Weather Condition

The average min/max temperatures in Nairobi City are 16°C - 23°C. You can expect sunny days with

rain in the afternoon.

8. Transportation

Delegations are responsible for their round trip flights to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

The only official entry point in Nairobi City is Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

Kenya Defence Forces will provide all transportation necessary for all official events during the 75th

CISM General Assembly and Congress, including airport and hotel transfers. All official events will take place at the Safari Park Hotel.

The distance between the hotels is 3 kilometers. Kenya Defence Forces shall provide shuttle buses for

transfer between Safari Park Hotel and Kenya School of Monetary Studies during events.

9. Visa

Delegates are required to arrive with a 6-month validity passport and visa.

Neither the Kenyan delegation to CISM nor Kenya Defence Forces and even less the CISM General

Secretariat have any authority to issue visas for participants. Please note that visas on arrival

procedures are not possible at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

Delegates are kindly reminded to check with the Kenyan Embassy / Consulate in their country in

relation to visa matters. General information can be found on http://evisa.go.ke/evisa.html

10. Medical services

Kenya Defence Forces will be responsible for all first aid medical emergency responses.

All other expenses arising from medical care for surgery, examination and treatment will be borne by

the delegates in accordance with CISM regulations. We recommend the purchase of travel insurance for

medical contingencies.
