Real estate and tourism investments and exhibit at CREBA Nat’l. Convention The Chamber of Real Estate and Builder’s Associations, Inc. (CREBA) is holding its 20 th CREBA National Convention from October 6-7, 2011 at the Marriot Hotel Manila, Newport Complex, Pasay City, with the theme, “Tourists Today, Real Estate Investors Tomorrow” in partnership with the Department of Tourism (DOT). Dubbed as the 2011 Tourism and Real Estate Congress, the convention serves to begin fusing tourism as a major concern and priority for real estate development for industry stakeholders to recognize them as the twin engines of growth to rev up the Philippine economy. A major highlight of the Congress is the “CREBA INVESTMENT AND EXHIBIT CENTER”. This will feature real estate and tourism development projects together with government and investment authorities, leading architects, designers, consultants, tourist destinations, airlines, travel agencies, hotels, medical and eco- tourism facilities and the like. According to Evangeline A. Yia, chairman and main organizer of the exhibit, the event will feature selected real estate development projects and regulatory agencies which will assist potential and interested buyers and investors through the regulatory and investment processes. Techie P. Bautista, CREBA vice-president for chapter affairs and program committee chair of the convention, said that in order to assist industry stakeholders and other interested groups in their investment and property acquisition needs, consultation centers shall be set up where government regulators such as DOT, TIEZA, PRA, Pag-IBIG, BOI, PEZA, and other related agencies can entertain queries and perform hosted briefings for the public.
