Gobal ImageViewer geospatial analysis software is the natural choice for manipulating imagery. Our designers and engineers have spent thousands of hours shaping the user interface into a contemporary, sleek ribbon-based tool-set that offers a streamlined contextual presentation. A mature COM-based API offers extensive customization for exacting organizations, with 90+ interfaces and 1500+ properties available to meet specific workflow demands.

Large, high-resolution icons are grouped logically to support common imagery analysis workflows, improving discoverability and reducing clicks to access common functions. GEOINT documents are managed via a dockable tab sys-tem, allowing users to easily view and organize multiple related imagery files. Global ImageViewer is fundamentally designed to be intuitive, easy to operate and efficient, decreasing the time required to become an effective user.

TOOLS WHERE YOU NEED THEM, WHEN YOU WANT THEM

Users have the choice how to organize and view imagery to maximize efficiency. Options include opening imagery as multi-document tabs, separating images as panes within the same window, or breaking out images as new windows. It’s easy to launch multiple windows without causing much strain on computing resources. Users can also synchronize related imagery to maintain the same geographic position.

FREEDOM TO CONFIGURE THE VIEWER HOW YOU DESIRE

COMPARE AND EXAMINE WITH EASY-TO-USE TOOLS

Users can quickly compare, study, and highlight changes on images captured at different times with the dedicated Comparison Mode. One-click tools include split image comparison, blending and wiping, colorized difference, color Q and flicker. An enhanced stereo mode also enables viewing stereo pair images, producing true 3D when utilizing stereo shutter glass hardware.

COMPLETE YOUR ANALYSIS WITH CONFIDENCE... ENJOY ROBUST OPERATION, HIGH ACCURACY, AND CLEAN WORKFLOWS

Image ManipulationThe Image Sampler enables users to preview and compare the effects of all image process-ing operations to determine the most effective result. Analysts can adjust display brightness, contrast, or dynamic range on-the-fly and apply dozens of image algorithms, edge detections and equalization filters to enhance detail. When the image is ready, ultra-smooth, jitter-free Pan and Roam movement helps analysts conduct broad area searches covering thousands of square kilometers.

Geo Document MosaicsA Geo Document, also known as a Virtual Mosaic, provides a geo-registered workspace into which geo-registered images, raster maps and vector data files can be imported and auto-located. The real power of a Geo Docu-ment lies in the ability to layer a variety of image files and data sources pertinent to the geographic area defined within the workspace. In fact, a Geo Document offers the ultimate in multi-layer, geospatial data visualization.

Accurate PositioningGlobal ImageViewer continues Overwatch’s tradition of being the leader in geospatial accuracy and “putting the pixels in the right place.” The software utilizes map projections, geodetic models and elevation data to provide accurate geospatial positioning, terrain correction and orthorectification. A terrain correction icon indicates the status of the active data set. Analysts can store geospatial locations of interest and later jump to these coordinates on an image.

Mensuration ToolsThe convenient mensuration panel offers an assortment of tools to measure accurate distances, perimeters, areas and changes in elevation as well as automatically generate the appropriate text annotations. One tool calculates a building’s height based upon the shadow it casts. If the image data is not geo-spatially referenced, the software still enables relative measurements by calibrating against a known length of an object within the image.

Annotations and ChippingThe versatile annotation and graphic tools help users communicate vital information dis-covered within imagery. Analysts can add text labels, graphics, grids and object symbols to identify items of particular importance or generate count reports. Global ImageViewer offers graphical themes to maintain consistent color palettes across the annotations. Chiping and multi-layer Coring tools enable users to capture images and annotations from a defined region for use in another document.

Interface with Google EarthGlobal ImageViewer incorporates seamless integration with the popular Google Earth® application for better situational context of the imagery. Users can launch Google Earth to fly to the current view and synchronize the display of both the Global ImageViewer and Google Earth windows so any subsequent changes to the location updates in unison. Users have the option to chip imagery and export vectors with associated metadata for display in Google Earth.

GIS and Vector SupportBecause imagery alone doesn’t tell the whole story, Global ImageViewer supports a number of GIS vector database and file formats, providing feature data representation of real world objects such as highways, rivers, or buildings. Analysts are able to specify a spatial filter to sort the vectors that fall outside an area of interest, query the metadata and select the vectors based on chosen criteria, and implement themes to specify colors and symbols by feature classes.

Report GenerationReport and presentation building has never been easier, with versatile templates for generating digital and hardcopy reports of the analysis. Templates enable users to create a customized border for image documents and include annotations such as grids, text labels and text strings automatically populated from metadata. A single click exports a template or the window to a Microsoft PowerPoint® file for display in a presentation.
