The IntrunetSI120 and SI220 control units draw fromthis expertise to deliver comprehensiveand reliable security. When combinedwith the range of Siemens detectors, theresulting systems offer the highest detec-tion accuracy and unmatched false alarmimmunity.

Multifunctionality and scalabilityBoth control units benefit from a future-proof design: in their basic configuration,the systems are based around the centralcontrol unit and the LCD remote keypad.Multifunctional, they facilitate audio andvideo alarm verification, remote or in-situprogramming and activation via PC, aswell as alarm and event transmissionusing common communication paths(PSTN, ISDN, IP, GSM/GPRS). The systemssupport wired or wireless devices, andalso allow for further security functionali-ty to be integrated, such as door controlor local video surveillance. Plug-in on-board and E-Bus modules enable easysystem expansion, whilst communicationmodules allow for customised alarmtransmission and system parameterisa-tion and maintenance.

High performance of Siemensdetectors

The wide range of Siemens internal andexternal motion detectors complementsthe SI120 and SI220 systems to delivercustomised intruder detection… ExternalPIR detectors, internal dual motiondetectors and specialist detectors such asseismic and picture surveillance deviceswill ensure the system is well suited foreven high security applications.

Versatile system functionalityenhancements

The systems support wired and wirelessdevices, and also allow for further securi-

ty functional enhancements, such aslocal video surveillance (e.g. alarm trig-gered video recording).

Comprehensive alarm transmissionand verification tools

Various standard protocols are supportedto connect the system to an alarm receiv-ing centre, where further audio andvideo alarm verification can be conduct-ed thanks to comprehensive range ofadd-on products.

Detectors can be linked to defined verifi-cation zones so that the relevant module(e.g. audio, video) can be activatedimmediately following the alarm.

With the Intrunet SI120 and SI220 sys-tems, alarms can be further qualifiedthrough event filtering or the use of addi-tional verification devices, such as listen-in/speak-out devices.

Reliable event logAll events are stored in the event memory,along with the date and time of occurrence.A separate event memory is available foreach defined security partition, as well asfor the whole system.

Simple installation and partitioningInput/output modules, power units andremote keypads are connected to thecentral control unit via the E-Bus. Consis-tent use of the Bus technology yieldsmany advantages, including reducedlabour outlay, ultra-simple system plan-ning and lower installation costs. The E-Bus can be separated into galvanic isolat-ed partitions with “isolator” modules, soif one part of the system goes down, therest of the system is not affected. Thisalso facilitates fault finding as a tamperalarm is triggered by each device con-nected on the E-Bus individually in caseof operational failure.

Designed – in system redundancySiemens understands that system relia-bility is key to strengthened security: thebattery, mains and fuses are continuous-ly monitored and failures are reported tothe main board via the E-Bus. In addition,the IP and GSM (GPRS) modules provideredundant connection via IP and GSM(GPRS) and SMS event messages.

Advanced software-basedconfiguration

The Sylcom software can be used forconfiguration and maintenance of bothSI120 and SI220 control units. The sys-tem can be accessed locally or via ana-logue and IP networks. For optimum sitedata management Sylcom can also beconfigured as an un-operated parameter

server, which the control units can accessremotely to up- and download prede-fined or modified configuration parame-ters.

A comprehensive range of peripherals

Audio and video alarmverification

The SI120 and SI220 control unitsprovide an integrated solution forremote audio and video alarmverification. Buildings can be dividedinto verification zones, in each of whichlistening in, communicating to peopleor visually verifying an alarm isachievable via the keypad. This alsogives the option to request remotesupport using the keypad.

E-Bus / line expansions

Plug-in modules and peripherals such asLCD keypads, line expansions for inputsand outputs, audio/video or externalpower supplies support a professionalinstallation. The control units feed,control and monitor the modules via E-Bus.

Communication modules

A selection of communication modulesare available for the SI120 and SI220control units. They can be used foralarm transmission, parameterisationand maintenance. The Sylcom softwareenables a cost-effective facilitymanagement.

User-friendly keypads

The keypads are equipped with a graphical or a 2-line, 16 character display. The display and the keys are fitted with backlights.The 5 LEDs display the most important system status. Different versions are available: with or without a flap, with audio func-tion, with large LCD display and with integrated card reader (cards and tags supplied separately). The latest additions to therange also include key-switch and annunciation modules.
