What is the internet?The Internet is a network of computers spanning the globe. It is also called the World Wide Web.

Website vs Webpage
Website is made up of a number of different web pages connected by links.
A Webpage is one single page of information in a website.
Websiteis a book.
Webpageis a page in the book.
Web Address / Internet Protocol
A Web Address is how we find a website or webpage on the internet.
Each Web Address is unique.

Web Address / Internet ProtocolA web address is typically composed of four parts:

The Web server, host, website. • fm
This tells us it is a site in the Federated States of Micronesia.
Endings of web pages tells us a bit about the page. Some common endings to web addresses are:• com (commercial) • edu (educational institution) • gov (government)
• biz (business)• blog (blog)• music (music)• church (church)• net (network) • org (organization)
You might also see addresses that add a country code as the last part of the address such as: • ca (Canada) • uk (United Kingdom) • fr (France) • us (United States of America) • au (Australia)
