2004. 9 DGIST was founded as a research Institute by the Korean Government.

2008. 6 DGIST Law was amended to offer degree programs

2011. 2 Prof. Sung-Chul Shin was inaugurated as the President of the university.

2011. 3 Launched the graduate program (MS, PhD programs)

2013. 2 Held the first graduation ceremony (MS program).

2014. 3 Launch the undergraduate program
