Established in 2007, Advanced Instutute fro Science and Technology (AIST) has at present 2 departments (Sustainable Energy, and Nano Science and Technology) with a total full-time staff number of 22 (2 Associate Professors, 17 Doctors) and 10 adjunct faculty members from other Schools of HUST;

The Department of Sustainable Energy (DoSE) has a mission of carrying out post graduate trainings and professional research activities in the field of clean energy technologies which include renewable energy, clean coal and energy efficiency technologies;

Since its foundation, DoSE has implemented 8 national and international sponsored research and contracted work;

For carrying such work, DoSE always maintains its close collaboration with Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Ministry of Construction (MOC), and Ministry of Natural Resouces and Environment (MONRE).
