Introduction Buongiorno, good morning, I thank John Gale, Rex Haigh and all my English friends for the invitation, and Marino De Crescen te to have put me in this not comfortable situation. Speaking about the Italian situation isn’t a simple question, because the Menthal Health condition and the Therapeutic Communities in Italy are in the meantime interesting, creative and innovative but also full of limits and contradictions characterized also by the political and economic crisis in Italy. In this intervention, prepared with Simone Bruschetta, we deepen some aspects of the article we have sent to you. In particular the topics suggested to us by Marino De Crescente: - Permeability/impermeability of the social environment - Relationship with the life projects of people discharged by the residential communities, among rehabilitation, empowerment and recovery towards the autonomy. - The complex involvement of Therapeuthic Communities in the development of the local community and of the patient’s family context. - Trying to find out how to transfer the democratic psychotherapeutic experience inside the Mental Health Services of the local community. The reflection starts from our cultural roots beginning from Basaglia’s ideas and from the group analisys of Diego Napolitani and the Italian exceptional situation in which after having closed definitely the Psychiatric Hospitals, they have also decided to close the Judiciary Psychiatric Hospitals this year. We will speak about: - Communitas, Munus and Democracy - work and inclusion projects in the local community - the interesting perspectives for users, familiars and operators of the psychosis care through the multifamiliar psychoanalysis group In these months I have studied English for this event and for INDTC … the slide presentation is written in English but I will speak in Italian.

Introduction

Buongiorno, good morning,

I thank John Gale, Rex Haigh and all my English friends for the invitation, and Marino De Crescen te to have

put me in this not comfortable situation.

Speaking about the Italian situation isn’t a simple question, because the Menthal Health condition and the

Therapeutic Communities in Italy are in the meantime interesting, creative and innovative but also full of

limits and contradictions characterized also by the political and economic crisis in Italy.

In this intervention, prepared with Simone Bruschetta, we deepen some aspects of the article we have sent

to you.

In particular the topics suggested to us by Marino De Crescente:

- Permeability/impermeability of the social environment

- Relationship with the life projects of people discharged by the residential communities, among

rehabilitation, empowerment and recovery towards the autonomy.

- The complex involvement of Therapeuthic Communities in the development of the local

community and of the patient’s family context.

- Trying to find out how to transfer the democratic psychotherapeutic experience inside the Mental

Health Services of the local community.

The reflection starts from our cultural roots beginning from Basaglia’s ideas and from the group analisys of

Diego Napolitani and the Italian exceptional situation in which after having closed definitely the Psychiatric

Hospitals, they have also decided to close the Judiciary Psychiatric Hospitals this year.

We will speak about:

- Communitas, Munus and Democracy

- work and inclusion projects in the local community

- the interesting perspectives for users, familiars and operators of the psychosis care through the

multifamiliar psychoanalysis group

In these months I have studied English for this event and for INDTC … the slide presentation is written in

English but I will speak in Italian.
