1. An assessment of the status of MSP in each country: legal status and content of the plan, stage, procedures and expected date of adoption, SEIA procedure (time schedule for drafting and consultation including cross boundary procedure)

The template will be drafted by 1week of April and consulted in written between national coordinators/ participants??

The layout must be filled until 15th of May, compiled and redistributed before meeting in Riga

Agenda2. An assessment of the current inventory status (checking which information is

readily available),supported by added socio-economic information from

Nordregio(??), HELCOM

– data used for background mapping- hydrology, navigation(scale, institution responsible, status,

availability)

– examing sea uses and data used for mapping

– presentation of main sea uses EE,LV,SE and possible hot issues (data used for mapping of each sea use

-scale, institution responsible, status, availability)

– ecosystem approach(data used, methodology and /or modelling, application for MSP) EE,LV,SE

– the most important environmental issues (data used, justification) EE,LV,SE

– Possible linkage of national MSP to POM (MSFD) and WFD (RBMP)

The template will be prepared by LV,sent out and discussed in written asap by 1st week of April

Must be filled by EE, SE and sent back to LV coordinator before meeting

3. HELCOM, NORDREGIO intervention (presentations) on environmental and

socioeconomic data

4. Identification of possible trans boundary issues (conflicts, synergies):

•Brainstorming on selected list of trans boundary issues and decision on hot

spots issues

•Decision on necessary data/information exchange between participating

countries, input needed from HELCOM, NORDREGIO

•Decision on content and date for next Planners meeting in August in EE
