Nuclear safety issues regarding the Fukushima nuclear accident
Non proliferation and security mechanisms
Nuclear Power as a reliable and cost effective solution
Public acceptance : Nuclear wastes management, CO2 mitigation and climate
change reduction

A Feasibility Study for a first NPP has been conducted from 1984 to 1994 by ONEE with the technical assistance of IAEA.
ONEE: National Electricity Utility in charge of the development of the nuclear power program ; the FS consisted of site and technical-economic feasibility studies Sidi Boulbra ; site selected and qualified by the IAEA

Uranium resources of the Moroccan phosphates can be estimated to 6.53
million tons.

The preliminary safety report is updated by ONEE’s team since 1998, mainly in the areas of demography, meteorology and economics. Detailed studies for NPP Models :
LWRs, proven technology, GII+, 900-1000 MW PWR , HWR CANDU-6 of 700 MW ; New Vision: NPP of GIII, GIII+ at the horizon 2025-30

infrastructures for safety, security, safeguards and promotion of nuclear activities, i.e.
