bull Each lecture course will be followed by an exam The form of the exam (written or oral) defines the respective institute Duration written exam ndash 1 till 2 hours oral ndash 30 minutes
bull The laboratory ldquoMechatronics Lessonsrdquo doesnrsquot contain the final exam The estimation of knowledges will take place before and after each experiment instead Please follow the instructions of the laboratory supervisor for the details about preparing to the experiments and making reports after
bull Attending of the lectures and practical exercises to the lectures are not obligatory but strongly recommended for the successful completing of the course
bull Attending and active participating in all the experiments of the laboratory ldquoMechatronics Lessonsrdquo is obligatory for all the students If one experiment is missed of failed the whole laboratory course will be failed

Project Thesis
bull Project thesis is a research project with the credit amount = 5 CP
bull The development of the project thesis is performed under supervision of the scientific employee of an institute of the Leibniz University Hannover The institute and the supervisor can be freely chosen by the student from the institutes of faculties for Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering For the recommendations on the search of the topic please read ldquoMaster Thesis - Linksrdquo on the following pages
bull On finishing of the research work the scientific report (thesis) have to be written The size and the format of the thesis will be defined by the supervisor
bull The project thesis needs registration The registration is normally performed by the scientific supervisor Please find the registration form under

bull The results of the project thesis will be evaluated by the professor of the respective institute
bull It is strongly recommended to begin the search of the project thesis topic from the very beginning of the winter semester

Developing of the masterrsquos thesis
bull The masterrsquos thesis are entirely developed at the Leibniz University Hannover at the chosen institute under supervision of a professor and a scientific assistant from this institute
bull The registration (ldquoAnmeldungrdquo) of the theme of the masterrsquos thesis at the examination office is performed usually by the supervisor (scientific assistant) Please see the next page for the information about the first and the second examiner in the registration form
bull Maximalminimal duration of the masterrsquos thesis development 63 months
Presentation of the masterrsquos thesis
bull Presentation has to be held in the Polytechnic University of St Petersburg in English or Russian language Presentation at the Leibniz University Hannover is not obligatory but recommended (presentation language English or German)

bull Deadline you need to send the copies of the passport + copy of German visa or residence permit to the University of St Petersburg (with which you are going to arrive in Russia) until 31052018 The passport must be valid 15 years after end of September 2018 (please check this in advance)

What happens ifhellip
bull An exam was failed during the winter exam session
The second attempt will take place in the summer exam session (end of July - September) As far as the most exams are oral it shouldnrsquot be a problem to choose a earlier time for this exam
The exam must be passed with this second attempt otherwise no master degree from the Polytechnic University of St Petersburg will be awarded
bull In case the master thesis presentation is strongly recommended by the professor of the respective institute of the Leibniz University Hannover but it canrsquot be held in August (eg professor is not there)
In this case the master thesis presentation can be held first in St Petersburg and than (on returning in Germany) in Hannover
If the study at the Leibniz University Hannover will be extended to October 2018 the semesters fees have to be payed for winter semester 20182019

bull An exam was failed during the winter exam session
The second attempt will take place in the summer exam session (end of July - September) As far as the most exams are oral it shouldnrsquot be a problem to choose a earlier time for this exam
The exam must be passed with this second attempt otherwise no master degree from the Polytechnic University of St Petersburg will be awarded
bull In case the master thesis presentation is strongly recommended by the professor of the respective institute of the Leibniz University Hannover but it canrsquot be held in August (eg professor is not there)
In this case the master thesis presentation can be held first in St Petersburg and than (on returning in Germany) in Hannover
If the study at the Leibniz University Hannover will be extended to October 2018 the semesters fees have to be payed for winter semester 20182019

Masterlsquos Thesis DeadlinesPresentation
Developing of the masterrsquos thesis
bull The masterrsquos thesis are entirely developed at the Leibniz University Hannover at the chosen institute under supervision of a professor and a scientific assistant from this institute
bull The registration (ldquoAnmeldungrdquo) of the theme of the masterrsquos thesis at the examination office is performed usually by the supervisor (scientific assistant) Please see the next page for the information about the first and the second examiner in the registration form
bull Maximalminimal duration of the masterrsquos thesis development 63 months
Presentation of the masterrsquos thesis
bull Presentation has to be held in the Polytechnic University of St Petersburg in English or Russian language Presentation at the Leibniz University Hannover is not obligatory but recommended (presentation language English or German)
bull Deadline for completing all the curriculum (including laboratory project thesis and all exams) at the Leibniz University Hannover 1 month before the Master thesis presentation Reason all the exams have to be mirrored at the transcripts of records by the time of the master thesis presentation
bull At the Polytechnic University of St Petersburg yoursquoll have to pass the interdisciplinary exam do some formalities and perform the presentation approximately 1 month is required

bull Deadline you need to send the copies of the passport + copy of German visa or residence permit to the University of St Petersburg (with which you are going to arrive in Russia) until 31052018 The passport must be valid 15 years after end of September 2018 (please check this in advance)

bull An exam was failed during the winter exam session
The second attempt will take place in the summer exam session (end of July - September) As far as the most exams are oral it shouldnrsquot be a problem to choose a earlier time for this exam
The exam must be passed with this second attempt otherwise no master degree from the Polytechnic University of St Petersburg will be awarded
bull In case the master thesis presentation is strongly recommended by the professor of the respective institute of the Leibniz University Hannover but it canrsquot be held in August (eg professor is not there)
In this case the master thesis presentation can be held first in St Petersburg and than (on returning in Germany) in Hannover
If the study at the Leibniz University Hannover will be extended to October 2018 the semesters fees have to be payed for winter semester 20182019

bull The development of the project thesis is performed under supervision of the scientific employee of an institute of the Leibniz University Hannover The institute and the supervisor can be freely chosen by the student from the institutes of faculties for Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering For the recommendations on the search of the topic please read ldquoMaster Thesis - Linksrdquo on the following pages
bull On finishing of the research work the scientific report (thesis) have to be written The size and the format of the thesis will be defined by the supervisor
bull The project thesis needs registration The registration is normally performed by the scientific supervisor Please find the registration form under

Developing of the masterrsquos thesis
bull The masterrsquos thesis are entirely developed at the Leibniz University Hannover at the chosen institute under supervision of a professor and a scientific assistant from this institute
bull The registration (ldquoAnmeldungrdquo) of the theme of the masterrsquos thesis at the examination office is performed usually by the supervisor (scientific assistant) Please see the next page for the information about the first and the second examiner in the registration form
bull Maximalminimal duration of the masterrsquos thesis development 63 months
Presentation of the masterrsquos thesis
bull Presentation has to be held in the Polytechnic University of St Petersburg in English or Russian language Presentation at the Leibniz University Hannover is not obligatory but recommended (presentation language English or German)
bull Deadline for completing all the curriculum (including laboratory project thesis and all exams) at the Leibniz University Hannover 1 month before the Master thesis presentation Reason all the exams have to be mirrored at the transcripts of records by the time of the master thesis presentation

bull An exam was failed during the winter exam session
The second attempt will take place in the summer exam session (end of July - September) As far as the most exams are oral it shouldnrsquot be a problem to choose a earlier time for this exam
The exam must be passed with this second attempt otherwise no master degree from the Polytechnic University of St Petersburg will be awarded
bull In case the master thesis presentation is strongly recommended by the professor of the respective institute of the Leibniz University Hannover but it canrsquot be held in August (eg professor is not there)
In this case the master thesis presentation can be held first in St Petersburg and than (on returning in Germany) in Hannover
If the study at the Leibniz University Hannover will be extended to October 2018 the semesters fees have to be payed for winter semester 20182019

bull Project thesis is a research project with the credit amount = 5 CP
bull The development of the project thesis is performed under supervision of the scientific employee of an institute of the Leibniz University Hannover The institute and the supervisor can be freely chosen by the student from the institutes of faculties for Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering For the recommendations on the search of the topic please read ldquoMaster Thesis - Linksrdquo on the following pages
bull On finishing of the research work the scientific report (thesis) have to be written The size and the format of the thesis will be defined by the supervisor
bull The project thesis needs registration The registration is normally performed by the scientific supervisor Please find the registration form under

Developing of the masterrsquos thesis
bull The masterrsquos thesis are entirely developed at the Leibniz University Hannover at the chosen institute under supervision of a professor and a scientific assistant from this institute
bull The registration (ldquoAnmeldungrdquo) of the theme of the masterrsquos thesis at the examination office is performed usually by the supervisor (scientific assistant) Please see the next page for the information about the first and the second examiner in the registration form
bull Maximalminimal duration of the masterrsquos thesis development 63 months
Presentation of the masterrsquos thesis
bull Presentation has to be held in the Polytechnic University of St Petersburg in English or Russian language Presentation at the Leibniz University Hannover is not obligatory but recommended (presentation language English or German)
bull Deadline for completing all the curriculum (including laboratory project thesis and all exams) at the Leibniz University Hannover 1 month before the Master thesis presentation Reason all the exams have to be mirrored at the transcripts of records by the time of the master thesis presentation
bull At the Polytechnic University of St Petersburg yoursquoll have to pass the interdisciplinary exam do some formalities and perform the presentation approximately 1 month is required

The second attempt will take place in the summer exam session (end of July - September) As far as the most exams are oral it shouldnrsquot be a problem to choose a earlier time for this exam
The exam must be passed with this second attempt otherwise no master degree from the Polytechnic University of St Petersburg will be awarded
bull In case the master thesis presentation is strongly recommended by the professor of the respective institute of the Leibniz University Hannover but it canrsquot be held in August (eg professor is not there)
In this case the master thesis presentation can be held first in St Petersburg and than (on returning in Germany) in Hannover
If the study at the Leibniz University Hannover will be extended to October 2018 the semesters fees have to be payed for winter semester 20182019

bull The masterrsquos thesis has to be agreed with the Polytechnic University of St Petersburg (Prof Shkodyrev Control Systems and Technology Department) in the following items

Masterlsquos Thesis DeadlinesPresentation
Developing of the masterrsquos thesis
bull The masterrsquos thesis are entirely developed at the Leibniz University Hannover at the chosen institute under supervision of a professor and a scientific assistant from this institute
bull The registration (ldquoAnmeldungrdquo) of the theme of the masterrsquos thesis at the examination office is performed usually by the supervisor (scientific assistant) Please see the next page for the information about the first and the second examiner in the registration form
bull Maximalminimal duration of the masterrsquos thesis development 63 months
Presentation of the masterrsquos thesis
bull Presentation has to be held in the Polytechnic University of St Petersburg in English or Russian language Presentation at the Leibniz University Hannover is not obligatory but recommended (presentation language English or German)
bull Deadline for completing all the curriculum (including laboratory project thesis and all exams) at the Leibniz University Hannover 1 month before the Master thesis presentation Reason all the exams have to be mirrored at the transcripts of records by the time of the master thesis presentation
bull At the Polytechnic University of St Petersburg yoursquoll have to pass the interdisciplinary exam do some formalities and perform the presentation approximately 1 month is required

The second attempt will take place in the summer exam session (end of July - September) As far as the most exams are oral it shouldnrsquot be a problem to choose a earlier time for this exam
The exam must be passed with this second attempt otherwise no master degree from the Polytechnic University of St Petersburg will be awarded
bull In case the master thesis presentation is strongly recommended by the professor of the respective institute of the Leibniz University Hannover but it canrsquot be held in August (eg professor is not there)
