INTRODUCTIONKhawarizmi International College (KIC) is the first private college founded & accredited in the UAE to offer affordable career-focused education with an emphasis on working students.

Founded in 1985, provides 14 programs in health management, information technology, mass communication and Islamic banking in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

SPECIALIZED LABORATORIESA range of specialized medical analysis laboratories, suitable for training health care professionals, are equipped with the latest technology standards. Each lab can accommodate 20 to 25 students.

Histopathology LaboratoryA full tissue diagnosis facility equipped with an Eppendorf centrifuge (micro), O2 incubator, microtomes, automated tissue processor, water baths (open), a thermo console, cryo console and CO2 incubator.

Biochemistry LaboratoryFor plasma chemistry, organ functions and general chemistry tests, equipment includes water distillers, spectrophotometers, an ELISA reader and washer, vortex mixers and centrifuges.

Microbiology/Parasitology LaboratoryEquipped with microscopes, a safety inoculation hood, Incubator (O2), autoclave, water bath (covered), weighing balance and thermal cyclers for the diagnosis and culture of microbiological organisms.

Hematology LaboratoryFully equipped for blood testing including microscopes, cell counters, Eppendorf centrifuge (micro), O2 incubators, a vortex mixer, a CBC analyzer, an HCT centrifuge and a test tube roller.

COMPUTER LABORATORIESOur computer labs are equipped with 330 computers (Windows 10 and MS Office), full internet access, and can accommodate up to 48 students.

MEDIA PRODUCTION STUDIOA state-of-the-art digital media production studio is equipped to commercial media production standards and is suitable for television or radio broadcasting, as well as other media requirements.

Fully soundproofed, it consists of a control room, stage, audio editing suite, and editing & graphics suite. There are multiple digital studio cameras equipped with teleprompters, a camera crane, dolly, audio recording devices, a vision mixer, an audio mixer, a fixed lighting barrel with lighting track, as well as Mac and PC multimedia labs.

• 3 27-inch iMac w/retina 5K display turbo boost up, magic muse • Final Cut Pro X 10.3.1 editing software

Audio Editing SuiteThe Audio Editing Suite is equipped with the following:

• Audio recorder, controller and sound effects• PRO TOOLS software editing and recording• Studio condenser microphone with elastic shock mount • Reflection filter

LEARNING RESOURCE CENTERThe Learning Resource Center (LRC) provides easily accessible, up-to-the-minute resources covering all KIC program fields. In addition to computer-based training, training material is also available in DVD/CD format.

Access to virtual libraries is also available free of charge. Berry, a powerful e-book technology service, is available for all campus users.

MULTIPURPOSE HALL

CAFE

A 280 square meter, 150-seat capacity hall is available for larger meetings and events. This formal setting is equipped with a professional A/V system and comfortable seating.

A cafe provides freshly prepared food and beverages at affordable prices. The facility is open all day until 9pm and is professionally managed by a specialist catering company.

SPORTS FACILITIESIf you wish to run sporting events or competitions, our gym, football and basketball pitches, all designed to international standards, will meet your needs.

COMMUNITY FACILITIESA medical clinic, grocery store, reception, recreation room, and prayer rooms provide campus users with convenience and comfort.
