Introduction
The word Ojas has its root in Sanskrit, which means “vigor” or “essence of vitality”.
Just like a container which holds abundant energy, “Ojas” is considered to be the ultimate
energy reserve.
Our Inter-College Annual Fest, “Ojas 2020”, is therefore the culmination of the vigor and
energy of the potential and skills of budding talents and of emerging managers. This year,
Team Ojas 2020 plans to introduce newer and fun-filled events along with the well-
established ones, so that you can have the taste of the old along with the surprise of the new
in a single mega-event!
Team Ojas 2020, therefore, is looking forward to provide you the platform that you need and
the stage that you deserve so that you can showcase the ability that you possess! Gear up to

ONLINE EVENTS
Creative writing
पे्ररणा
The students need to submit their original piece of work.
Theme- “Against all odds- I held myself and came out victorious.”
Write a small essay on your learning, or the learning from your past which has shaped you as
a better person, or has helped you to become a stronger person in life.
o It is an individual event.
o The participants have to write in English.
o It should be typed. Font Times New Roman, Heading:14 body:12 Max word 800-850
o The participants will b given the link for the submission.
o Drawings, photographs or artwork will not be accepted.
o Evaluation Criteria-
o Originality of content.
o Power of expression.
o Structure of Content
o Choice of words
o Language and Grammar
o The participants will have to run their work for plagiarism check and attach
the report at the top of word document.
o The plagiarism report should not reflect a value > 15%
o No submissions will be accepted without plagiarism report.
Failure to comply with the above rules will result in disqualification from the competition.
OFF THE CUFF
o It is an individual participation event.
o A picture will be displayed on the screen for 30 seconds.
o Participants will be given no thinking time.
o The participant has to speak for 1 minute and 30 seconds based on the picture
displayed.
o In case the participant exceeds the time, limit or speaks less than the allotted time
marks would be deducted.
o Unnecessary and prolonged pauses will be penalized. The time spent on the same will
not be considered and the participant will be marked accordingly.

Who am I?:
‘Who am I?' is a quest of identifying the correct business or accounting term from a brief explanation
about that term. For example: What is the term used when the owner takes something from the
business for his personal use? Yes, it is ‘Drawing'. The slide with the brief explanation will be shown
and participants have to identify as well as send the name of the term in 15 seconds to the allotted
coordinators.
Rules:
● Online
● The slide with explanation will be shown for 10 seconds
● Participant has to answer in the next 5 seconds and after that the answers will be invalid
● Objection or query will be solved after the completion of the event and not in between
● Judging will be on the basis of correct answers and your final score
● Misspelling the term will not be considered as the correct answer.
● No unfair means will be entertained.

INTRODUCTION

(Photography Competition)
Photography is not just about creating moments but also capturing them. Keeping this in mind,
capture the essence of OJAS’20 which is CARNIVAL

The competition would be theme based and the participants need to adhere to it. The theme for the
event is – Carnival in your city!
Rules:
Mode – Online
Number of photographs that needs to be submitted are – 5.
Each picture should also be given a unique caption seeming fit with the photograph.
Last Date for submission is – 29th January, 2021, 8:00 PM.
The authenticity and genuineness of the photographs should be maintained. The participants can use
any device for capturing the photographs.
The size of photographs should not exceed 10 MB and must be in jpeg format. The participants need
to share photos with the Media team of Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow.
Submission link will be provided to participants later.

Participants will be sharing their travel experience in different countries, by sharing videos and
pictures. They can share their memorable moments, what did they like the most in that country as well
as stories from the trip.
Rules for the V-LOG
● Mandatory to have picture (digital or hardcopy) of the destination that the participants has
travelled to.
● Each participant will get a 10 min to share their experience. The picture or video shown
should not be obscene.
● Through the picture and videos we want the participants to tell stories, randomly showing
pictures or videos is not allowed.

BOOGIE-WOOGIE (Solo Dance)
Hey steppers!
Are you also one of those kinds who misses out on the calls because you were happy dancing on
the ringtone? Well, if that’s the case, we have an opportunity for you wherein you can showcase
your talent. Mesmerize the audience with your swaying dance moves and dance your hearts out this
year in our event OJAS.
GENERAL RULES –
● The event comprises of a single round that will be completely online based.
● One entry per student however unlimited participants from any
institutes are allowed.
● Videos that are offensive to any caste, religion or are vulgar are not valid.
● Add song to your video while the editing is done.
● Maximum of 4 participants can apply from the same college. Participants are free to choose
from any dance form.
● Participants have to submit a video of minimum 2.5 mins and maximum 3 minutes.
● The size of the video should not exceed 35MB Exceeding the time limit might lead to
elimination.
● Use a prop to enhance your performance but make sure the prop should be something that
comes handy in your houses. (mandatory).
● All dance forms are allowed – jazz, classical, Bollywood, hip-hop etc.
CRITERIA FOR JUDGEMENT
● Choreography, creativity, attire, costumes, expressions, coordination and use of props.
● Top 10 videos will be played online before the judges Winner will be selected from the
videos submitted.

BEYOND THE VOICE
(Solo Singing)
Without music, life would be extremely boring. So, let’s give it up for the master of musicians. All the
singers, it is the time to show your talent and raise your mic.
So, what are you waiting for?
ROUND 1 – PRELIMANARY ROUND
● Participant is free to sing any Hindi, English, Punjabi, Marathi, or any other song according to
their choice.
● Participant must submit the video via google form. (File size limit: 25 MB)
● The video should be of 2 to 2.5 minutes. Exceeding the time limit might lead to negative
marking.
● Usage of any one musical instrument is allowed. Use of karaoke is prohibited. Any type of
editing would immediately lead to disqualification.
ROUND 2 – FINAL ROUND
● Finalists from round 1 will be notified.
● Top 10 videos will be played online before the judges Winner will be selected from the
videos submitted.
● Please make sure that performance will be displayed before the judges prior to displaying in
the offline medium to eliminate any biasness.
CRITERIA FOR JUDGEMENT
● Voice quality
● Expression (how well the performer is able to express the mood of the song)
● Creativity Rhythm & Tempo
● Chemistry (how credible the partners are in their performance, for group singing)

RESEARCH QUIZ
ONLINE MODE – ZOOM
Guidelines -
● There will be 30 aptitude-based questions which needs to be solved in 30 mins. Each question
will be of 1 min duration.
● The questions will be based on logical numerical puzzles, general awareness, research based
questions.
● There will be no negative marking. Judge’s decision will be final.

HYBRID EVENTS
SHOW BIZ
● It will be a team event. Only two participants are allowed in a team. This event will be
conducted in hybrid mode i.e. online and offline.
● The participants who can’t join us in college will be delivering their presentation through
Zoom.
● The duration of the presentation is 5 minutes - 3 minutes for presenting and 2 minutes for
question & answer.

● There is no restriction on the number of slides.
● Only one member is allowed to present, the Question & Answer however, will be undertaken
by both.
● The teams will be scored on quality of content, delivering style, and competence in answering
the questions.
● Marks will be deducted for exceeding the time limit, Use of prolonged pauses and repetition
of ideas.
● A basket comprising business management, and all related domain topics will be provided 5
days in advance, teams will have to choose their topics within 24 Hours.
● The participants will have to submit their presentation at least 2 hours prior to the
commencement of the event.

ANCHOR HUNT
Do you have stage fright yet aspire to host a successful event? Here is an opportunity for you to
showcase your hidden potential. The participants will be provided with the hypothetical events on
which they will have to anchor for 2 minutes. The participants will be judged on the basis of
connectivity, fluency, creativity, relevance and communication skills. The winners of the pre-
submission round will qualify for round 2 of Live Anchoring.
Details:
It is an individual event.
Event will be held in Hybrid mode. There will be total of 2 rounds.
1st round –
1. Participants will send a pre recorded video on the hypothetical events allotted to them.
2. Time limit of video – 2 mins
3. Mode- Pre submission.
4. Deadline for submission – 26th January, 2021. 2nd Round –
1. Qualified participants from round 1 will proceed for the final round.
2. Final round will take place in hybrid mode.
3. The participants will do live anchoring on the given hypothetical events.

5. Date – 29th January 2021.
Rules :
● Participants will have to adhere to the time limit and exceeding will result in negative
marking.
● The participants should be dressed in formals.
● Use of derogatory terms and foul language will not be entertained during anchoring.
● The participants can make use of any editing technique to show their creativity. The
participants need to submit their entries in a video format (mp4) and rename them with their
names.
● The videos should not exceed the limit of 50 MB.

DANCE TROOP (Group Dance)
Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is a process and working together is a progress. Let
your body sink in the vortex of rhythm and let it weave the tapestry of life with your gestures and
moves. It’s you and your energy, so come and bloom in OJAS and dance your heart out.
GENERAL RULES -
● Each team must comprise of a minimum of 4 members and maximum of 10 members and
only one person must register on behalf of the whole team.
● The costumes and videos that are vulgare or violate any law or religion are not valid.
● Costumes play an important role with the judgement.
● Maximum two teams can apply for the participation from the same college.
RULES FOR VIDEO SUBMISSION-
● Participants must submit a video of not more than 5 minutes. (minimum 4mins)
● The file size should not exceed 35 MB.
● Any dance form will be appreciated – Bollywood, Jazz, Classical, Regional Styles etc.

● The video should be of 3.5 minutes. Exceeding the time limit might lead to negative marking.
● Usage of musical instruments or any background music is allowed.
● Any type of editing that enhances voice quality would immediately lead to disqualification.
● This will be a hybrid event. Keeping in the mind the COVID-19 norms, performance of
participating institutes will be live streamed.
● Decisions made by the judges will be final and binding.

OFFLINE EVENTS
DEBATE (English)
● Each team will comprise of 2 members and you are free to team up with the senior batch also.
● Topic will be assigned to the teams prior to the event.
● The participants will not be permitted to read from the sheet
● In a team, one participant has to speak for the topic and one against the topic. Each speaker
will get a maximum of 1.5 minutes to speak. Exceeding the time limit will result in loss of
points (-1 for every 10 seconds of excess).
● The teams will have to handle questioning either by the Judge or by fellow competitors.
● The speaker must reciprocate to such questions without any discussion with his/her team
members. Hint: “Sticking to the opening comments is the key”
NOTE : Their will be preliminary round depending upon the
number of participations.

● It is an individual event.

ROLE IT OUT
Introduction
Role play is a simulation for real life business situations. The emphasis is on dramatization of the
situation by the participants. Moreover, the discussion should be in a subtle way to lead to a
conclusion or decision. The key to a great role play is the use of perfect body language along with a
natural conversation-based content. It is the best training method used in all functional areas of
management.

QUILLING
Quilling or paper filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped,
and glued together to create decorative designs.
● General Rules:
● It is a team competition.
● 2 members in each team are allowed

● Time limit: 1 hour Topic: on the spot
● All materials including quilling needle, glue, etc. should be brought by the participants. Only

RECALL THE CALL
Teams will be provided with one shuffled pack of cards each and will be shown a pattern in the
projector and then asked to put the cards in the same order as shown in the projector within the limited

frame of 20 seconds. This event will be held in multiple rounds with increasing difficulty level. Last 5
standing teams will fight for the top 3 positions.

LEADER HUNT
Preliminary Round–TREASURE HUNT (Elimination Round)
● This round will help you learn “LEADERSHIP & TEAM BUILDING SKILLS”. Therefore, a
team of 5 people will be asked to solve the riddle followed by a puzzle. The teams will be
formed randomly.
● There will be an elimination round i.e., the faster you solve, the sooner you reach the next
round.
Final Round – INVESTOR PITCHING
● This round will enhance your communication skills i.e., how well you can influence the
judges and win the title of “FUTURE ENTREPRENEUR”.
● This will be an individual pitching round.

Participants will have to guess the ingredients of a continental dish by tasting that dish. The person to
get the maximum ingredients right will the winner for the event,

● Each participant will be given just a small portion from the dish. No use of mobile phones.
● Maximum 3 min will be given to list the ingredients.
● The ingredients have to be listed on paper given. No one will be allowed to speak up the
ingredients.

HARRY POTTER DUO- WIZARD TOURNAMENT
“After all this time “and you have been hiding your wizarding world knowledge?
No more!
International Relations Committee is calling all the Muggles in the college to participate in the Harry
Potter duo-wizard tournament, which will be held during the mystical month of Ojas!
The tournament will comprise of: Muggles and Magic quiz.
Indoor Quidditch tournament
Teams of four with muggles between two and three will go head-to-head in the magical trivia, in an
attempt to win an exclusive Harry Potter goodie.
Participants will be divided into four teams namely- Team Dumbledorks
Team Levi-ooh-sa, not Levio-sah Team Snapes on a Plane
Team Lumos Maximus
Questions will test participants’ knowledge of the wizarding world, including Magical Creature,
Defense Against the Dark Arts, Potions, Wizards and Witches and other topics. If you don’t have a
team of Potter pals? Fret not. Individuals will be allocated to a team on the day of the quiz, which also
sounds like a great way to meet more Potterheads!

INSTAGRAM BOMBER
The event which will provide you with the opportunity to broadcast OJAS’20 by creating your
own Instagram page. Take the help of Instagram reels/ IGTV/photos/videos and let your creativity run
wild. Make your Instagram page engaging by highlighting different sides of the theme “OJAS 2020 -
CARNIVAL”. Refer to Jaipuria Institute of Management Instagram page, and have a look at
OJAS ’19 posts.
Rules:
● Mode – Offline
● The name of the page will be Ojas20_registration no
● The Credentials will be shared with Media Cell of Jaipuria
Institute of Management, Lucknow
● The page with highest genuine followers will get a weightage of 10%.
● The content should be of Ojas 2020 event and photos/videos should be captured inside the
college only.
● The participants need to share Instagram page/credentials on 28th January, 2020. Uploaded
entries will be taken till 31st January, 2021, 5:00P.M.
● The most creative page with good content will be awarded as the winner. The page which
justifies more with the theme will be given the priority.
● The winner will be decided on the basis of the page’s creativity, content and the regularity
and reach of the page.
● After the events get over, the page will be deleted from Instagram by Media cell of Jaipuria
Institute of Management, Lucknow

Pictionary -First Round
General Rules
● This is an individual event.
● Participants will be shown a picture, in which they are expected to guess the right brand name
for the product.
● You will be judged on your spontaneity and accuracy.
● This competition will require a basic knowledge of various products and their brand names.
● Time limit: maximum 10 seconds to guess one answer There will be total of 20 pictures
shown to the participants.
Product Pricing - Second Round
General Rules
● Participants will be shown a list of products, in which they will have to accurately quote the
price of the product.
● The products can be unique items, antiques and high-tech products.The closest 10 bidders of
the products will qualify to the next and final round.
● You will be judged on your market knowledge and pricing of the various products.
● Time limit: maximum 10 second to guess one answer There will be total 10 pictures shown to
the participants.
Product Presentation - Third Round
General Rules
● The participants will be given a riddle to decode the brand name or company name, the idea is
to check the creativity of the individual.
● Participants will be given 15 minutes, in which they will have to make a 2-slide presentation.
They will be judged on the basis of their individual answers in the presentation, knowledge
and fluency of speech.
● Time limit: Maximum 3 minutes is allotted for the presentation, not more than that and 2
minutes for question-and-answer round.

FASHIONISTA (Fashion Show)
(In-Campus Event)
Show up in every single moment like you’re meant to be. Your energy introduces you before you
even speak. Modelling is the culmination of lighting, texture, body movement and soul’s expression.
So, get ready to step up as you glam up because all that dim light awaits our shining stars.
GENERAL RULES –
● Team size- individual.
● The event comprises of a single round which will take place at the campus. Theme for the
show is Reel for Real, where you have to capture the essence of the Movie Series character.
● Participants can choose any character from the following TV series mentioned : Friends,
Money Heist, The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Big Bang Theory, Pirates of the
Caribbean, Marvel, DC, Mirzapur and Sacred Games.
● All participants are required to make a poster of the character they choose (write the name of
the character on a piece of paper which will be attached with the costumes).
● Costumes play an important role with the judgement. Costumes that are vulgar or violate any
law or religion are not valid.
CRITERIA FOR JUDGEMENT –
Creativity, apparel, relevance to the theme, personality. Decisions made by Jury members shall be

GENERAL RULES -

● There should be a team maximum of 15 members. The play will be in Hindi language.
● Any kind of vulgar or abusive comments would not be allowed. Also, any religious comment
and direct political comments would not be acceptable.

● The faster you depict, the sooner you reach the next round. Top 12 participants will go for
second round
Final Round – THINK IN A BLINK
● All participants shall have to register for the event prior to the event date for adequate
preparations.
● The participants shall have to be physically present.
● Each participant shall be called on the stage one by one and shall be presented with a question
and four answer options.
● The participants need to correctly identify the answer to the question within 30 seconds and
present it in front of the audience along with a minute of justification.
● The participant shall be judged on his choice of answer, clarity of thought and quick response
to the question presented and his communication skills.
● The questions shall be from the fields of Operations, Marketing, Legal, Economics, etc.
