“ INTRODUCTION “
A. Background At this time, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) play an important role in various fields, including in the field of education. One application of ICT in the education sector include the use of multimedia and Internet media in the learning process.
The development of information and communication technology (ICT) has affected the field of education in the learning process. The use of ICT in the learning process is not something that is familiar in the era of globalization as it is today.
In the future, the current ICT developments will progress faster. Requires people to be able to adapt to the development of ICT if outdated, as well as to face the global challenges.
To be able to take advantage of ICT to improve the quality learning, there are three things that must be realized, namely :1. Learners and teachers should have access to
digital technology within the educational institutions.2. The material quality and useful for teachers and learners.3. Teachers must have knowledge and skills in using digital learning media to help students to achieve academic standards and develop their potential.
B. Reasons Why ICT Needed In The Education World
1. The development of ICT as a bridge science.2. In addition to the role of ICT as a medium of
information, development of ICT can also be used as a communication medium learners.
3. With the development of ICT, learning becomes much more efficient.4. The fact that students are more motivated to

B. Obstacles to the integration of ICT in learning, can be summed up in two groups, namely:

inadequate, especially for schools located in remote areas. It is still very low in terms of both quantity terms of quality of the equipment.2. Non-physical
a. Teachers lack confidence in using ICT learning Teaching Processb. Teachers fear of failure taught through the use of ICTc. Lack of competence of teachersd. C. Efforts to Implement ICT in Education
1. Learners and Teachers must have access to digital technology and the Internet in the classroom, school, and educational institutions.2. Must be available the material quality, meaningful, and cultural
support for learners and teachers3. Teachers should haveknowledge and skills in using tools and digital sources to help leaners to achieve academic standars.
4. Must be available budget or sufficience funds to hold, develop and maintain the infrastructure of the information and communication technology.
5. And last but not least important, the willingness of all parties, in this case the teachers and students to apply learning with the support of the information and
communication technology.
“ CLOSING “ A. Conclusion
Information and communication technology (ICT) had an impact so great for every aspect of life, especially in education. Deficiencies and barriers that exist in the learning process can be overcome by using ICT developments.
Meaning of ICT for education is the availability of a channel or medium that can be used to broadcast educational programs.
In the Age of Technology , information and communication (ICT), in this moment of ICT in the classroom is very important to provide opportunities for students success in the era of information at this time. By using ICT, the barriers to learning can be overcome.
B. Suggestions
We are together with the goverment and other parties should go hand-in-hand in
organizing the use of ICT in education, especially Indonesia as information and communication technology is the key to get to the school a better future.
