Introduction SmartLock DiskSafe provides an innovative computer security platform to protect endpoint computers by locking down the system image from any system modification attempts. Current Anti-Virus/Malware solutions fail to protect endpoint computers under ever increasing malware infections and cyber threats. SmartLock DiskSafe blocks any system modifications and enhances Anti-Malware solutions to make a complete defense for endpoint computers of personal and business users. Computer should not be failed by malware (viruses, spyware, worms, Trojans, rouge software, etc.) attacks and should be reliable under any circumstance. However, the current DISKSAFE fails to protect endpoint computers. SmartLock DiskSafe creates the new failsafe platform at the base of DiskSafe system which is entirely different approach from Anti-virus/malware software products in the Smart Lock PC Vendor Manual. It is an independent, enhancement product and would not create any conflict with any other Anti-virus/malware software products or OS. Anti-malware software products are largely depending on Knowledge base such as Signatures and behavior models of malware. However, thousands of new malware are created every week and there are millions of new and old malware exist today. No matter how often we update Anti-malware software there is no end to it, SmartLock method will help to end the malware threats. Not only preventing malware problems, it maintains DiskSafe infection free (no contamination build- ups) so therefore would not cause any slowdowns. Once the program has been installed, the computer will need to restart.

Once the computer has restarted, go to the “Control Panel” and look for the Disk Safe Icon.

Click on the Admin tab, and select the “Move User Data” button. The Computer will need to restart.

By clicking on “Move User Data” the “User Profile Data” will be re-directed to the D: drive.

There are constantly new viruses and new types of malware floating around in the internet, it is extremely difficult to keep the definitions up to date with what is out there. If the virus on your computer does not match the database, it cannot detect it or remove it. Making it ineffective.

Heuristic Scans only scans for attributes and characteristics that exist within your computer. If the virus or malware in your computer does not match the Heuristic Scan, then the scan engine will not detect it, making it ineffective. This is why even though the scan may come up negative, your computer may still be infected.

Root Kit DetectionTo look for Root Kit behavior, or a program that is trying to take over the computer.

Although the scanning engine may detect the root kit, if it is deeply imbedded in the operating system, there is a high likelihood of it re-appearing, even after the engine has cleaned the Rootkit. Often cleaning the Rootkit will result in making the computers operating system inoperable, due to the fact that, by removing the Root Kit, it has also removed critical system files which are required for the system to function. Most commonly this will require the re-installation of the operating system in order to bring it back to a functioning state.
