1. Dear Maam,This is in reference to the mail you had sent me asking me to give you a brief introduction aboutmyself.My name is Angad Singh, I am from Bagrakote, West Bengal. I have done my schooling from Col.Brown Cambridge School, Dehradun and Punjab Public School, Nabha. After completing myschooling in 2005, I joined the ICFAI Institue of Science and Technology, Hyderabad.During the course of engineering, I got an opportunity to pursue my interest in advertising as acopy intern with Rediffusion Y&R, Kolkata. I got to work on brands like Books & Beyond,Eveready, Tata Shaktee & Tata GP Sheets. It was quite an enriching experience and my first realexposure to the professional world.After my graduation in May 2009, I tried to find job openings in production houses and musicchannels, but it didnt work out as expected. It was only by the end of the year that i decided tofocus my energies on getting into advertising again, and by Feb, 2010, I got an opportunity towork with Ogilvy & Mather as a Management Trainee (copy) in the Creative Department. AtOgilvy, i got to work on brands like Religare, Secret Temptation, Wildstone, Sprite, Honda Jazz,Usha and Cisco.The amount of talent i came across during my advertising days made me realize the importanceof constantly working on ones strength to keep in step with the ever changing requirements ofthe industry.My parents insistence on me getting a Masters degree and my desire to explore the film andbroadcast industry bore fruit when i came across the MBA in Media & Entertainment courseoffered by Manipal University. So, the next step was to bid farewell to Ogilvy and join thiscourse; which I did, in August, 2010.Apart from my academic and professional background, I have a keen interest in sports. I loveplaying Basketball, Football and all racquet based games. I like to participate in quizzes anddramatics.
