IntroductionThese latter-day revelations written in the identi-cal pattern as the ancient oracle revelations givento the Prophets of Israel, and these other writingsgiven by inspiration, stand as a witness that theLORD is restoring all things in this dispensation.They prove that the gift to receive such oracles,given first in our dispensation to the ProphetJoseph Smith, can and will be given to prophetsafter him if Israel has men and women who willlisten.

Book of the ProphetBrigham Young

Those who accept Brigham Young as a trueprophet should also accept these revelations andwritings. If men who claim their authoritythrough Brigham Young say that he was wrong inwhat he claimed was revealed to him, then infairness they also can be wrong – in fact they canbe wrong in claiming he was wrong.

JOURNEY TO THE WEST

Chapter 1

Revelation Received Thursday, January 14, 1847For the Camp of Israel (D&C 136)

At Winter Quarters (near Council Bluffs), Iowa

The Word and Will of the LORD concerning theCamp of Israel in their journeyings to the West: 2 Let all the people of the Church of Jesus Christof Latter-day Saints, and those who journey withthem, be organized into companies, with acovenant and promise to keep all thecommandments and statutes of the Lord our God. 3 Let the companies be organized with captainsof hundreds, captains of fifties, and captains oftens, with a president and his two counselors at

their head, under the direction of the TwelveApostles.

4 And this shall be our covenant-- that we willwalk in all the ordinances of the LORD. 5 Let each company provide themselves with allthe teams, wagons, provisions, clothing, and othernecessaries for the journey, that they can. 6 When the companies are organized let themgo to with their might, to prepare for those whoare to tarry. 7 Let each company, with their captains andpresidents, decide how many can go next spring;then choose out a sufficient number of able-bodied and expert men, to take teams, seeds, andfarming utensils, to go as pioneers to prepare forputting in spring crops. 8 Let each company bear an equal proportion,according to the dividend of their property, intaking the poor, the widows, the fatherless, andthe families of those who have gone into thearmy, that the cries of the widow and the father-less come not up into the ears of the LORDagainst this people. 9 Let each company prepare houses, and fieldsfor raising grain, for those who are to remainbehind this season; and this is the will of theLORD concerning his people. 10 Let every man use all his influence andproperty to remove this people to the place wherethe LORD shall locate a stake of Zion. 11 And if ye do this with a pure heart, in allfaithfulness, ye shall be blessed; you shall beblessed in your flocks, and in your herds, and inyour fields, and in your houses, and in yourfamilies.

12 Let My servants Ezra T. Benson and ErastusSnow organize a company. 13 And let My servants Orson Pratt and WilfordWoodruff organize a company. 14 Also, let My servants Amasa Lyman andGeorge A. Smith organize a company. 15 And appoint presidents, and captains ofhundreds, and of fifties, and of tens.

16 And let My servants that have been appointedgo and teach this, My will, to the saints, that theymay be ready to go to a land of peace. 17 Go thy way and do as I have told you, andfear not thine enemies; for they shall not have

power to stop My work. 18 Zion shall be redeemed in Mine own duetime.

19 And if any man shall seek to build uphimself, and seeketh not My counsel, he shallhave no power, and his folly shall be mademanifest. 20 Seek ye; and keep all your pledges one withanother; and covet not that which is thy brother's. 21 Keep yourselves from evil to take the name ofthe LORD in vain, for I am the Lord your God,even the God of your fathers, the God ofAbraham and of Isaac and of Jacob. 22 I am he who led the children of Israel out ofthe land of Egypt; and My arm is stretched out inthe last days, to save My people Israel.

23 Cease to contend one with another; cease tospeak evil one of another. 24 Cease drunkenness; and let your words tendto edifying one another. 25 If thou borrowest of thy neighbor, thou shaltrestore that which thou hast borrowed; and ifthou canst not repay then go straightway and tellthy neighbor, lest he condemn thee. 26 If thou shalt find that which thy neighbor haslost, thou shalt make diligent search till thou shaltdeliver it to him again. 27 Thou shalt be diligent in preserving whatthou hast, that thou mayest be a wise steward; forit is the free gift of the Lord thy God, and thouart his steward.

28 If thou art merry, praise the LORD withsinging, with music, with dancing, and with aprayer of praise and thanksgiving. 29 If thou art sorrowful, call on the Lord thyGod with supplication, that your souls may bejoyful.

30 Fear not thine enemies, for they are in Minehands and I will do My pleasure with them. 31 My people must be tried in all things, thatthey may be prepared to receive the glory that Ihave for them, even the glory of Zion; and he thatwill not bear chastisement is not worthy of Mykingdom.

32 Let him that is ignorant learn wisdom byhumbling himself and calling upon the Lord hisGod, that his eyes may be opened that he may see,and his ears opened that he may hear;

33 For My Spirit is sent forth into the world toenlighten the humble and contrite, and to thecondemnation of the ungodly. 34 Thy brethren have rejected you and yourtestimony, even the nation that has driven youout; 35 And now cometh the day of their calamity,even the days of sorrow, like a woman that istaken in travail; and their sorrow shall be greatunless they speedily repent, yea, very speedily. 36 For they killed the prophets, and them thatwere sent unto them; and they have shedinnocent blood, which crieth from the groundagainst them.

37 Therefore, marvel not at these things, for yeare not yet pure; ye can not yet bear My glory;but ye shall behold it if ye are faithful in keepingall My words that I have given you, from the daysof Adam to Abraham, from Abraham to Moses,from Moses to Jesus and his apostles, and fromJesus and his apostles to Joseph Smith, whom Idid call upon by Mine angels, My ministeringservants, and by Mine own voice out of theheavens, to bring forth My work; 38 Which foundation he did lay, and wasfaithful; and I took him to Myself. 39 Many have marveled because of his death;but it was needful that he should seal histestimony with his blood, that he might behonored and the wicked might be condemned. 40 Have I not delivered you from your enemies,only in that I have left a witness of My name? 41 Now, therefore, hearken, O ye people of Mychurch; and ye elders listen together; you havereceived My kingdom. 42 Be diligent in keeping all My commandments,lest judgments come upon you, and your faith failyou, and your enemies triumph over you. A DREAM OF JOSEPH

Chapter 2

Dream given on Wednesday, February 17, 1847(On the Mormon Frontier:

The Diary of Hosea Stout 1:238)At Council Bluffs, Iowa

I dreamed that I saw Joseph sitting in a room, inthe South-West corner, near a bright window. Hesat in a chair, with his feet both on the lowerround. 2 He said that it was all right-- that we shouldnot be together yet; we must be separated fromhim. He said it was all right, and put his feetdown on the floor. 3 Now all you who know how he looks, when heused to give counsel, know all about how helooked then. 4 I told him that the Latter-day Saints were veryanxious to know about the law of adoption, andthe sealing powers, etc.; and desired a word ofcounsel from him. 5 Joseph said, "Do you be sure to tell the peopleone thing. Do you be sure and tell the brethrenthat it is all important for them to keep the quietspirit of Jesus;" 6 And he explained how the Spirit of the LORDreflected on the spirit of man and set him topondering on any subject, and also explainedhow to know the Spirit of the LORD from thespirit of the enemy. 7 He said, "The mind of man must be open toreceive all spirits, in order to be prepared toreceive the Spirit of the LORD; otherwise, it mightbe barred so as not to receive the Spirit of theLORD, which always brings peace and makes onehappy, and takes away every other spirit. 8 When the small, still voice speaks, alwaysreceive it, and if the people will do these things,when they come up to the Father, all will be as inthe beginning, and every person stand as at thefirst. 9 I saw how we were organized before we tooktabernacles, and every man will be restored tothat which he had then, and all will be satisfied. 10 After this I turned away and saw Joseph wasin the edge of the light; but where I had to go wasas midnight darkness.

11 He said I must go back, so I went back intothe darkness. 12 I want you to all remember my dream. For I,it is a vision of God, and was revealed throughthe spirit of Joseph.

Chapter 3

The voice of the Spirit of the LORD is unto theelders of Israel, prepare ye for the coming of theSon of Man in the clouds of heaven; yea, in apillar of fire, to take vengeance on the ungodly. 2 Yea, this is My commandment unto you, MineElders, saith the Lord Almighty, that you speedilyrepent, lest judgments overtake you, and you benumbered with the foolish virgins. 3 Let this suffice; take heed to your ways, andkeep your former covenants. 4 And I the LORD will deliver you from all yourenemies, saith Him who is your Advocate with theFather. Even so, Amen.

Chapter 4

Revelation Received Sunday, August 9, 1874( JD 17:154)

At Lehi, Utah Territory

Thus saith the LORD unto My servant Brigham:call ye, call ye upon the inhabitants of Zion toorganize themselves in the Order of Enoch, in theNew and Everlasting Covenant, according to theorder of Heaven, for the furtherance of Mykingdom upon the earth, for the perfecting of theSaints, for the salvation of the living and thedead.

Book of the ProphetJohn Taylor

The last of his oracles was received while theProphet John Taylor was in the Mormon Under-ground, where he died hiding from US Federalofficers trying to arrest him for practicing pluralmarriage. Even though all of these revelationshave appeared in church books and even some ofthem in European versions of the D&C, thechurch leadership have never presented them tothe church for canonization. Nevertheless, thosewho accept John Taylor as a true prophet shouldconsider seriously if these truly are the Word ofthe LORD for His people Israel.

THE SEALING TESTIMONYOF THE MARTYRDOM

Chapter 1

Written By Apostle John Taylor (D&C 135)At Nauvoo, Illinois

To seal the testimony of this book and the Book ofMormon, we announce the martyrdom of JosephSmith the Prophet, and Hyrum Smith thePatriarch. They were shot in Carthage jail, on the27th of June, 1844, about five o'clock p.m., by anarmed mob – painted black – of from 150 to 200persons. Hyrum was shot first and fell calmly,exclaiming: I am a dead man! Joseph leaped fromthe window, and was shot dead in the attempt,exclaiming: O Lord my God! They were both shotafter they were dead, in a brutal manner, andboth received four balls. 2 John Taylor and Willard Richards, two of theTwelve, were the only persons in the room at thetime; the former was wounded in a savagemanner with four balls, but has since recovered;the latter, through the providence of God,escaped, without even a hole in his robe. 3 Joseph Smith, the Prophet and Seer of theLORD, has done more, save Jesus only, for thesalvation of men in this world, than any otherman that ever lived in it. In the short space of

twenty years, he has brought forth the Book ofMormon, which he translated by the gift andpower of God, and has been the means ofpublishing it on two continents; has sent thefullness of the everlasting gospel, which itcontained, to the four quarters of the earth; hasbrought forth the revelations and commandmentswhich compose this book of Doctrine andCovenants, and many other wise documents andinstructions for the benefit of the children ofmen; gathered many thousands of the Latter-daySaints, founded a great city, and left a fame andname that cannot be slain. He lived great, and hedied great in the eyes of God and his people; andlike most of the LORD's anointed in ancient time,has sealed his mission and his works with hisown blood; and so has his brother Hyrum. In lifethey were not divided, and in death they were notseparated! 4 When Joseph went to Carthage to deliverhimself up to the pretended requirements of thelaw, two or three days previous to hisassassination, he said: "I am going like a lamb tothe slaughter; but I am calm as a summer'smorning; I have a conscience void of offensetowards God, and towards all men. I SHALL DIEINNOCENT, AND IT SHALL YET BE SAID OF ME –HE WAS MURDERED IN COLD BLOOD." – Thesame morning, after Hyrum had made ready togo – shall it be said to the slaughter? yes, for so itwas – he read the following paragraph, near theclose of the twelfth chapter of Ether, in the Bookof Mormon, and turned down the leaf upon it: 5 And it came to pass that I prayed unto the Lordthat he would give unto the Gentiles grace, thatthey might have charity. And it came to pass thatthe LORD said unto me: If they have not charity itmattereth not unto thee, thou hast been faithful;wherefore thy garments shall be made clean.And because thou hast seen thy weakness, thoushalt be made strong, even unto the sitting downin the place which I have prepared in themansions of my Father. And now I bid farewellunto the Gentiles; yea, and also unto my brethrenwhom I love, until we shall meet before thejudgment-seat of Christ, where all men shallknow that my garments are not spotted with yourblood. The testators are now dead, and theirtestament is in force. 6 Hyrum Smith was forty-four years old in

February, 1844, and Joseph Smith was thirty-eight in December, 1843; and henceforward theirnames will be classed among the martyrs ofreligion; and the reader in every nation will bereminded that the Book of Mormon, and thisbook of Doctrine and Covenants of the church,cost the best blood of the nineteenth century tobring them forth for the salvation of a ruinedworld; and that if the fire can scathe a green treefor the glory of God, how easy it will burn up thedry trees to purify the vineyard of corruption.They lived for glory; they died for glory; andglory is their eternal reward. From age to ageshall their names go down to posterity as gemsfor the sanctified. 7 They were innocent of any crime, as they hadoften been proved before, and were only confinedin jail by the conspiracy of traitors and wickedmen; and their innocent blood on the floor ofCarthage jail is a broad seal affixed to"Mormonism" that cannot be rejected by anycourt on earth, and their innocent blood on theescutcheon of the State of Illinois, with thebroken faith of the State as pledged by thegovernor, is a witness to the truth of theeverlasting gospel that all the world cannotimpeach; and their innocent blood on the bannerof liberty, and on the magna charta of the UnitedStates, is an ambassador for the religion of JesusChrist, that will touch the hearts of honest menamong all nations; and their innocent blood, withthe innocent blood of all the martyrs under thealtar that John saw, will cry unto the Lord ofHosts till he avenges that blood on the earth.Amen.

ADJUSTMENT OF CHURCH PROPERTIES

Chapter 2

Revelation Received Monday,November 19, 1877

I have been asking the LORD to show me how toadjust the property of the church held in thename of the late President Brigham Young, so as

to do justice to his estate; and yet not wrong thechurch, and have received the following: 2 You have asked of Me, and others of theTwelve have asked of Me, that wisdom might begiven to you to adjust these property matters ofthe church; 3 Thus saith the LORD: Be one, be united, behonest, act upon the principles of justice andrighteousness to the living and the dead, and toMy church, and I the LORD will sustain you andacknowledge your labors. Amen.

FURTHER MARRIAGE INSTRUCTIONS

Chapter 3

Revelation Received Sunday/Monday,June 25/26, 1882

Question: Is the law of Celestial Marriage a lawgiven to this nation or to the world? 2 Answer: No – in no other sense than as thegospel is given and in accordance with the lawsthereof. So far as it is made known unto men, itis made known unto them as the gospel is madeknown unto them, and is part of the New andEverlasting Covenant. 3 And it is only those who receive the gospel thatare able to, or capable of, entering into thiscovenant. 4 Have I not said through My servant JosephSmith that all kingdoms are governed by law?And if they receive not the law of the gospel, theycannot participate in the blessings of Celestialmarriage, which pertains to Mine elect.

5 No person or people or nation can enter intothe principle of Celestial marriage unless theycome in by Me, saith the LORD, and obey the lawof My gospel through the medium of him who isappointed unto this power as made known untoMy people through My servant Joseph in aRevelation on the eternity of the marriagecovenant, including the plurality of wives. 6 I have therein stated that , "all those who havethis law revealed unto them must obey the same;

for behold I reveal unto you a New and anEverlasting Covenant; and if ye abide not thatcovenant, then are ye damned; for no one canreject this covenant and be permitted to enterinto My glory." 7 Furthermore, "And as pertaining to the Newand Everlasting Covenant, it was instituted for thefullness of My glory; and he that receiveth afullness thereof must and shall abide the law, orhe shall be damned, saith the Lord God." 8 It is again written that, "all kingdoms have alaw given."

9 The Celestial kingdom, including the promiseof Eternal Life, pertains to, "the church of theFirstborn, even of God, the holiest of all, throughJesus Christ, His Son." 10 Therefore, such must be sanctified from allunrighteousness, that they may be prepared forthe Celestial glory. 11 "For he who cannot abide the law of aCelestial kingdom, cannot abide a Celestial glory;" 12 "And he who cannot abide the law of aterrestrial kingdom cannot abide a terrestrialglory;" 13 "And he who cannot abide the law of atelestial kingdom cannot abide a telestial glory;therefore, he is not meet for a kingdom of glory.Therefore, he must abide a kingdom which is nota kingdom of glory." 14 Each of the persons inhabiting these severalkingdoms shall be quickened by the same powerthat pertains to the kingdom that they aredestined to inherit, whether Celestial, terrestrial,or telestial; and shall receive of their repectiveglories.

15 And again it is written, "And again, verily Isay unto you, that which is governed by law isalso preserved by law, and perfected andsanctified by the same." 16 "That which breaketh a law, and abideth notby law, but seeketh to become a law unto itself,and willeth to abide in sin, cannot be sanctifiedby law, neither by mercy, justice, nor judgment."

17 It is further written, speaking of Celestialmarriage, "And verily I say unto you, that theconditions of this law are these: All covenants,contracts, bonds, obligations, oaths, vows,

performances, connections, associations, orexpectations that are not made and entered into,and sealed by the Holy Spirit of Promise, of himwho is anointed, both as well for time and for alleternity, and that too most holy, by revelation andcommandment, through the medium of Mineanointed, whom I have appointed on the earth tohold this power (and I have appointed unto Myservant Joseph to hold this power in the last days,and there is never but one on the earth at a timeon whom this power and the keys of thispriesthood are conferred) are of no efficacy,virtue, or force in and after the resurrection fromthe dead; for all contracts that are not made untothis end have an end when men are dead."

18 This law is a Celestial law, and pertains to aCelestial kingdom. It is a New and EverlastingCovenant, and appertains to thrones,principalities, powers, dominions, and eternalincrease in the Celestial kingdom of God. 19 You are not now sent to proclaim thisprinciple to the United States, nor to the world,nor to urge it upon them. It is not for them as anation or nations, only as many as accept the lawof My gospel, and are governed thereby. 20 Behold, if you were to preach this principleunto them, and they said, we accept it, could youthen administer it unto them? Verily I say untoyou, nay. 21 Have I not said, "Behold, Mine house is ahouse of order, saith the Lord God, and not ahouse of confusion." 22 "Will I accept of an offering, saith the LORD,that is not made in My name?" 23 "Or will I receive at your hands that which Ihave not appointed?" 24 "And will I appoint unto you, saith the LORD,except it be by law, even as I and My Fatherordained unto you, before the world was?" 25 "I am the LORD thy God, and I give unto youthis commandment: that no man shall come untothe Father but by Me or by My word, which isMy law, saith the LORD." 26 "And everything that is in the world, whetherit be ordained of men, by thrones, orprincipalities, or powers, or things of name,whatsoever that may be, that are not by Me, saiththe LORD, shall be thrown down, and shall notremain after men are dead, neither in nor after

the resurrection saith the LORD your God." 27 "For whatsoever things remain are by Me,and whatsoever things are not by Me shall beshaken and destroyed." 28 " Therefore, if a man marry him a wife in theworld, and he marry her not by Me nor by Myword, and he covenant with her so long as he isin the world and she with him, their covenantand marriage are not of force when they aredead, and when they are out of the world;therefore, they are not bound by any law whenthey are out of the world." 29 You ask, what shall we do? Thus saith theLORD, obey My law and seek not to become a lawunto yourselves, nor trust to outside influences;but seek in the way appointed to the Lord yourGod. 30 Ye are My spokesmen, I am your God; and asI have before said, I now again say: Henceforth doas I shall command you. 31 Concerning the course taken by the UnitedStates, they have a right to reject this lawthemselves, as they have a right to reject thegospel; but it is contrary to the provisions of theConstitution, which is the supreme law of theland, for them to prohibit you from obeying it. 32 Therefore, abide in My law which I haverevealed unto you, saith the Lord God, andcontend for your rights by every legal andconstitutional method and in accordance with theinstitutions, laws, and Constitution of the UnitedStates. 33 Be humble, be faithful, be diligent; seek untoMe and it shall be made known unto you fromtime to time what My will is pertaining to thismatter. 34 I am the Lord your God, hearken to Me, andobey My law, and your enemies shall beconfounded, and My kingdoms shall bevictorious. Even so, Amen.

KINGDOM AND CHURCH

Chapter 4

At Salt Lake City, Utah Territory

Verily, thus saith the LORD, I have instituted Mykingdom and My laws, with the keys and powerthereof. 2 And have appointed you as My spokesmen andMy constitution, with President John Taylor atyour head, whom I have appointed to My churchand My kingdom as Prophet, Seer, and Revelator,unto My church and unto My kingdom – and topreside over My church and over My kingdom,and to be My mouthpiece unto My church andunto My kingdom. 3 And I will honor him, and he shall speak forththe words that I will reveal unto him from time totime by the whispering of My Spirit, by therevelation of My will and My word, or by Mineown voice as I will, saith the LORD; 4 And ye shall listen to his words as My words,saith the Lord your God. 5 Thus saith the Lord God who rules in theheavens above, and in the earth beneath: I haveintroduced My kingdom and My government,even the kingdom of God that My servants haveheretofore prophesied of – 6 And that I taught My disciples to pray for,saying, "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done onearth as it is in heaven." 7 For the establishment of My rule, for theintroduction of My law, for the protecting of Mychurch, and for the maintenance, promulgation,and protection of civil and religious liberty in thisnation and throughout the world. 8 And all men of every nation, color, and creedshall yet be protected and shielded thereby; 9 And every nation, kindred, and people, andtongue shall yet bow the knee to Me, andacknowledge Me to be Ahman Christ, to the gloryof God the Father. 10 And My law, and My rule, and My dominionshall extend over the whole earth, and no oneshall stay My hand, or question my authority; 11 For I rule by right, in the heavens above and

in the earth; and My right, and My rule and Mydominion shall yet be known and extended to allpeople. 12 And now behold, I speak unto you throughMy servant John, whom you have acknowledgedand shall acknowledge as My spokesman: Thussaith the Lord God, the Maker of heaven andearth, the ruler of the universe, whose right it isto rule in the heavens above, and in the earthbeneath; 13 Behold, I raised up My servant Joseph Smithto introduce My gospel, and to build up Mychurch, and establish My kingdom on the earth. 14 And I gave unto him wisdom, and knowledge,and revelation, and intelligence pertaining to thepast, the present and the future, even to thatextent which was not known among men; 15 And I endowed him with power from onhigh, and conferred upon him the priesthood ofAaron, and also the Priesthood of Melchizedek,which is after the order of the Son of God, eventhe holiest of all, and after the power of anendless life- and administereth forever in thisworld and the world to come. 16 He was called and ordained to this officebefore the world was; he was called by Me, andempowered by Me, and sustained by Me tointroduce and establish My church and kingdomupon the earth – 17 And to be a Prophet, Seer, and Revelator toMy church and kingdom; and to be a King andRuler over Israel. 18 He was slain for the testimony of Jesus, andfor the word of God; but he yet lives, and is withMe where I am. 19 And now I speak unto you who are membersof this council, and of My kingdom, and I sayunto you, as I said unto My disciples of old: Yehave not chosen Me, but I have chosen you. 20 I called you by My servant Joseph, and by Myservant Brigham, and by My servant John. 21 You did not teach and instruct Me; but I havetaught and instructed you, and organized youaccording to My eternal laws. 22 Ye are My constitution, and I am your God. 23 And I will be acknowledged; and My will, andMy word, and My law shall bear rule in Mykingdom, saith the LORD. 24 If it does not, then it is not My kingdom, andthen are ye not My spokesmen;

25 For if it is by the wisdom of man, by theintelligence of man, and under the direction ofman, then it is a kingdom of man, and it is not ofMe, and I will not acknowledge it, saith the LordGod. 26 Have I not instructed you in all that youknow, and is not this kingdom organized anddirected by revelation from Me? Is it not calledthe Kingdom of God? 27 If therefore it is not My kingdom, why do youmake use of My name, and invoke My authorityand My aid? 28 Is this kingdom not called, "The Kingdom ofGod, and His laws, with the Keys and PowersThereof, and Judgment in the Hands of HisServant Ahman Christ"?

29 And because I am kind and beneficent to allpeoples, and because I have given to man his freeagency, and have always maintained that freeagency among all peoples, and have treated allmen alike among all nations, and made the sun toshine on the evil and the good, on the just and theunjust, and have never controlled the consciencesof men, think ye, therefore, that I have no rights,and will yield up all My authority to the dictatesand caprices of wicked and corrupt men? 30 Verily I say unto you, Nay.

31 Behold, Satan sought to take away the freeagency of man in the beginning, for which hewas thrust out of heaven, and has sought tointroduce the same principles upon the earth,which principles are opposed to Me, to Myinstitutions, and My laws, and to the freedom, thewelfare, and happiness of man – 32 And by which principles the government ofthe United States sought to deprive My people oftheir free agency. 33 And because men have been under theinfluence and power and dominion of Lucifer,and because tyranny and oppression and evilhave abounded by him, and not by Me, saith theLord your God, shall righteousness and justice,and judgment, and truth, and virtue, and holinessbe forever trampled under foot? – And theprinciples of tyranny, oppression, and misrule,and anarchy, deception, and fraud foreverprevail? 34 Verily I say unto you, Nay.

35 And for this cause have I introduced Mychurch and My kingdom, that pure and righteousprinciples might be inculcated, and man by hisfree agency yield a willing obedience to My law; 36 For after this testimony and the rejectionthereof, I will sweep the earth of evil doers aswith the besom of destruction; 37 For this is My right; and while man has freeagency, judgment belongs to Me, saith the LORD. 38 And I will come out of My hiding place andvex the nations of the earth because of theiriniquities, their misrule, their tyranny, theiroppression, their corruption, their murders, theiradulteries and fornications, and all theirabominations.

39 And because My servant Joseph, whose soulwas pained because of their cruelties andoppressions, the injustice, fraud, and corruption,and the inhumanity of men, proclaimed himselfthe advocate of human rights, the advocate ofliberty, and the friend of man; 40 And because, according to My eternaldecrees, the free agency of man should beguaranteed to all men, I moved upon him tointroduce into My kingdom certain parties not inMy church – for the purpose of exhibiting intoMy kingdom that I would still maintain the freeagency of man, and that I hold inviolate thatprinciple, and will still maintain it to the end – 41 Think ye, therefore, that because they arethus admitted to a share in My government andMy laws that they shall be permitted to breaktheir covenants, violate their obligations, andreject Me and My laws and authority, and seek tooverthrow the kingdom of God, and deprive Mypeople who are contending for freedom, and whoshall yet maintain it, of their agency, and of Mylaws? 42 Verily I say unto you, Nay.

43 They shall be admitted to the rights ofrepresentation in the manner appointed, aftersubscribing to My covenants andcommandments, and have a full and freeopportunity of presenting their views, interests,and principles, and enjoying all the free andrights of this council; 44 But they shall acknowledge Me and My lawsin this council, saith the Lord God;

45 For My people's rights, and immunities, andfree agency shall be acknowledged as well asthose of all other people; 46 And My laws and government shall besustained, or I will not acknowledge you, saiththe LORD. 47 I have invested you with the keys and powerof My kingdom, and they cannot be barteredaway to others.

48 Shall all men be free? Yes, free to do right,free to express their sentiments and opinions, andhave a full, fair, and free representation; 49 But no man shall violate his covenants,pervert My laws, subvert others free agency, andtrample upon Mine authority in this council,saith the Lord your God. 50 Again I say unto you, as I said before:Henceforth do as I shall command you, saith theLord your God. 16 And I set in order My priesthood, even theAaronic and Melchizedek; 17 And I have sent forth Mine elders to theworld to preach this gospel of the kingdom to allpeople and to gather Mine elect from among allnations.

18 That a people might be prepared through Mygospel, through the manifestation of My Spirit,even the Spirit of Truth, the Gift of the HolyGhost, the Comforter, and through the teachingsof My holy priesthood, and the revelations of Mywill, to comprehend the law of My gospel; 19 To be one with each other, and to be one withMe as I am one with the Father. 20 To comprehend and obey the principles ofrighteousness, virtue, holiness, purity, and thelove and fear of God; 21 And to assist in building My Zion unto Me,saith the Lord of Hosts, and to prepare for the

salvation and redemption of the world, even theliving and the dead.

22 And again, it required this gospel, thispriesthood, this revelation, this unity, this Spirit,to introduce the kingdom of God, the law of God,the authority and dominion of God, that the willof God might be done on earth as it is done inheaven.

23 I rule now among the nations, but not bytheir consent, and the rulers of the earth do notknow Me or My law, nor recognize My authority. 24 They have their free agency and use it; sohave also My people, and they use their agencythrough My gospel to serve Me, to obey My law,and to build up My church and kingdom. 25 For outside of My church there is no peopleon the earth who will listen to My law. 26 And if there was no people who would listento My law, how could I have a kingdom, and howcould I be their ruler? 27 I have established My kingdom to be a shieldand protection to My church, to learn andcomprehend My law, and to carry out Mypurposes, that My will may be done on earth as itis done in heaven; 28 The church through the law and Spirit of thegospel to preserve the virtue and purity of thekingdom. 29 And the kingdom to preserve and protect thechurch from the aggressions of the wicked andungodly. 30 And behold, I do not want My own will, butthe will of My Father; 31 The same is My Father and My God, and yourFather and your God, and we are One: I in Him,and you in Me. 32 Am I and My Father with the church? Yes. 33 Am I not your God, your Ahman Christ? Youso acknowledge Me. 34 My Father is King of kings, and Lord of lords. 35 I rule as My Father directs Me, and if ye ruleand direct according to My will, under thedirection of My servant who is your Presidentand head, are we not one, and is it not the ruleand government of God? 36 And any kingdom, or government, ordominion that is not under My direction, anddoes not acknowledge Me, I will not acknow-

Thus saith the LORD to the Twelve, and to thePriesthood and people of My Church: 2 Let My servants George Teasdale and Heber J.Grant be appointed to fill the vacancies in theTwelve, that you may be fully organized andprepared for the labors devolving upon you, foryou have a great work to perform;

3 And then proceed to fill up the presidingquorum of Seventies, and assist in organizing thatbody of My Priesthood who are your co-laborersin the ministry. 4 You may appoint Seymour B. Young to fill upthe vacancy in the presiding quorum of Seventies,if he will conform to My law; 5 For it is not meet that men who will not abideMy law shall preside over My Priesthood; 6 And then proceed forthwith and call to youraid any assistance that you may require fromamong the Seventies to assist you in your laborsin introducing and maintaining the Gospelamong the Lamanites throughout the land.

7 And then let High Priests be selected, under thedirection of the First Presidency, to preside overthe various organizations that shall exist amongthis people; 8 That those who receive the Gospel may betaught in the doctrines of My Church and in theordinances and laws thereof, and also in thethings pertaining to My Zion and My Kingdom,saith the LORD, that they may be one with you inMy Church and My Kingdom.

9 Let the Presidency of My Church be one in allthings; and let the Twelve also be one in allthings; and let them all be one with Me as I amone with the Father. 10 And let the High Priests organize themselves,and purify themselves, and prepare themselvesfor this labor, and for all other labors that theymay be called upon to fulfill. 11 And let the Presidents of Stakes also purifythemselves, and the Priesthood and people of theStakes over which they preside, 12 And organize the Priesthood in their variousStakes according to My law, in all the variousdepartments thereof, in the High Councils, in theElders Quorums, and in the Bishops and theirCouncils, and in the Quorums of Priests, Teachersand Deacons – 13 That every Quorum may be fully organizedaccording to the order of My Church; 14 And then, let them inquire into the standingand fellowship of all that hold My HolyPriesthood in their several Stakes; 15 And if they find those that are unworthy letthem remove them, except they repent. 16 For My Priesthood, whom I have called andwhom I have sustained and honored, shall honorMe and obey My laws, and the laws of My HolyPriesthood, or they shall not be consideredworthy to hold My Priesthood, saith the LORD. 17 And let my Priesthood humble themselvesbefore Me, and seek not their own will but Mywill; 18 For if My Priesthood whom I have chosen,and called, and endowed with the spirit and giftsof their several callings, and with the powersthereof, do not acknowledge Me I will notacknowledge them, saith the LORD; for I will behonored and obeyed by My Priesthood. 19 And, then, I call upon My Priesthood, andupon all of My people to repent of all their sinsand shortcomings, of their covetousness andpride and self will, and of all their iniquitieswherein they sin against Me; 20 And to seek with all humility to fulfill Mylaw, as My Priesthood, My Saints, and My people; 21 And I call upon the heads of families to puttheir houses in order according to the law ofGod, and attend to the various duties andresponsibilities associated therewith, and topurify themselves before Me, and to purge out

You have asked Me why your mind was confusedand dull within the last two days. 2 Verily thus saith the LORD, by the whisperingsof His Spirit, and the still small voice, that thearrangement which you have contemplated withMy servant Thomas is not acceptable to Me. 3 He should have listened to your offer, whichwould have been profitable to himself andacceptable to Me. 4 When you rejected his offer, you did right, andMy Spirit was with you. 5 But when you, in your zeal to show that youhad faith in Me and in My word, acceptedpropositions and assumed responsibilities whichwere not in accordance with the order that Ishowed you, you did wrong, and I withdrew MySpirit. 6 For it is forbidden My Presidency to go intodebt unless I, the LORD, command it; for thesethings lead to confusion and bondage. 7 Besides, have I not shown unto you, Myservant John, a way to raise a fund which shouldbe at your disposal for the accomplishment of Mypurposes? – And by which the rights andproperties of My people should be preserved inall of these matters? 8 You must abide by this principle. 9 My servant Thomas does not understand thismatter. 10 Confer with him on this subject, and if hecan see these things and follow counsel, he shallassist you in the developments contemplated.

11 For you, nor My servant George Q. Cannon,cannot attend to these details; 12 But if he, Thomas, cannot enter freely intothis matter without restraint, then shall youarrange with him according to wisdom, andwithdraw from the consummation of thecontemplated arrangement. 13 Behold, I have shown unto you many things,and I will continue to make known unto you Mywill, from time to time, on things temporal aswell as spiritual; things pertaining to My church,My kingdom, and My Zion. 14 And you shall be My mouthpiece, saith theLORD, and I will greatly bless you, and lift youup, and exalt you, saith the LORD; 15 For your words and works are acceptableunto Me, and I know of your zeal and integrity inMy cause, and you shall be made a blessing to Mypeople, and your name shall be honored in Israel,and in this nation, and among the nations of theearth; for they that honor Me, I will honor. 16 And I will also greatly bless My servantGeorge Q. Cannon, who is acceptable before Me,and who is exceedingly desirous to do My will. 17 And I will also bless My servant Joseph F.Smith, whose heart and spirit are right beforeMe, and who is also desirous to fulfill My law; 18 And these your counselors shall be greatlyblessed with you; 19 And you shall be My mouthpiece unto them,and I will show unto them My will from time totime. 20 And you shall be one in spiritual things andalso in temporal things in due time. 21 And I will show unto My people, and untothe world, that this world is Mine, and that Icreated it by My power – 22 And the gold and silver and copper and brassand iron and riches and precious things thereof,and all that pertains thereunto are Mine; 23 And My people shall know that they areMine, and that they live in Me, and move andexist in Me, and have their being from Me, 24 And that all which they possess is Mine, andis obtained of Me, and that they are, and can onlybe, stewards over that which I have given untothem to possess, and which they could not haveonly of Me and by Me; 25 Whether it relates to this earth and thefullness thereof – to wives, children, and friends,

to gold, silver, houses, lands, riches andpossessions pertaining thereto – or to thrones,principalities, powers, dominions and exaltationsin My eternal kingdoms. 26 And My Presidency shall be one, and theTwelve shall be one, and the Presidencies ofStakes and the High Councils shall be one. 27 And all of My holy priesthood in their severalquorums, standings, offices, and positions shall beone, and all of My priesthood shall be united asone. 28 And they shall be one with My people, andMy people shall be one with them. 29 And I will be one with them, and be theirGod. 30 Let every person, therefore, be diligent andact in their several positions, callings orpriesthood, and honor and magnify the same, andhonor and obey Me, the Lord their God, andrespect and obey the counsels of My holypriesthood, and I will honor and exalt them, saiththe LORD, in time and throughout eternity.

31 And as it regards My servant John Taylor, it isnot necessary for him to attend to the minutia ordetails of either spiritual or temporal things, butonly to give general directions, or as I maymanifest from time to time. 32 And his counselors are to be his assistants –and the First Presidency shall call upon theTwelve, the presidents of stakes, the bishops, andothers to assist in these duties. 33 And I will raise up wise and prudent men,from time to time, to assist in temporal as well asspiritual things, for they are all one with Me.

34 And then let the Twelve call upon theSeventies, and let the high priests, the councils,the elders, and bishops and the lesser priesthood,and all who labor for Zion, be diligent andobedient. 35 And let every man put in his sickle and reap,and fulfill and magnify his calling, office orPriesthood. 36 These things belong to My priesthood, butmore properly to the School of the Prophets. 37 Let the School of the Prophets be organized,even all such as are worthy. 38 But if they are found unworthy, they shall nothave a place in My school – for I will be honored

As thou hast asked Me concerning this temple,thus saith the LORD: I accept this house whichthou hast built; 2 And also the labors of the Committee, theSuperintendent, and the Architect thereof, and ofthose who have in anywise contributed to thebuilding or beautifying the same, by their laboror by their means; 3 And inasmuch as it shall be preserved pureand not be defiled, My presence shall be there,even the power of My Spirit, the Gift of the HolyGhost; which shall in this house hereafter bemore fully understood; 4 And I will acknowledge the ordinances whichshall be administered therein, both for the livingand the dead; 5 And My blessings shall attend theadministration of the ordinances, and shall restupon those who administer therein, inasmuch asthey comply with the order of My house, and actwith purity and singleness of heart before Me,according to My word, My ordinances and Mylaw; 6 And this house shall be a house of prayer, ahouse of learning, a house of God, wherein manygreat principles pertaining to the past, to thepresent, and the future shall be revealed. 7 And My word and My will be made known,and the laws of the universe, pertaining to thisworld and other worlds be developed; 8 For in these houses which have been built untoMe, and which shall be built, I will reveal theabundance of those things pertaining to the past,the present, and the future – 9 To the life that now is, and the life that is tocome, pertaining to law, order, rule, dominion,

and government; to things affecting this nationand other nations. 10 The laws of the heavenly bodies in their timesand seasons, and the principles or laws by whichthey are governed, and their relation to eachother, and whether they be bodies Celestial,terrestrial, or telestial shall all be made known asI will, saith the LORD. 11 For it is My will and My purpose to place Mypeople in closer communion with the heavens,inasmuch as they will purify themselves andobserve more diligently My law; 12 For it is in Mine heart to greatly bless andexalt My people, and to build up, exalt, andbeautify My Zion, inasmuch as they shall observeMy law. There are some things that ought to be put right. 2 Some time ago there was word given for thebrethren and their families to put themselves inorder before the LORD; 3 And it is necessary that these things should becarried out, for there has been a negligence insome of these matters; 4 And if My people and priesthood desire Myblessing and guidance and protection, they mustand shall be subject to My law. 5 And it is necessary that the various quorums ofthe Priesthood should place themselves rightbefore Me, saith the LORD; 6 And that as individuals they should placethemselves in that position, for if they do not theyhave no claim upon My blessing or Myprotection. 7 A day of trouble and anxiety and sorrow andjudgment will soon overtake this nation, andother nations – it is nigh at hand. 8 And the inhabitants of Zion must purgethemselves from iniquity, folly, covetousness, and

vanity, and listen to and obey My laws, or theycannot have My protection – for I the LORD willnot be mocked. 9 But the wrongdoer shall receive the justrecompense of reward; and the sinners in Zionshall be afraid; 10 And fearfulness shall also take hold of thewicked and the ungodly that are in your midst. 11 And if you, My people, obey My law, andkeep My commandments to do them, not in nameonly, but in reality, I will be your shield andprotector, and your strong tower – and no manshall be able to hurt you, for I will be yourdefense. 12 Therefore, humble yourselves before Me, andpurify yourselves that your acts and doings maybe acceptable before Me. 13 For if you do not, you will share in thecondemnation of the wicked. 14 Therefore, listen to the counsels of thosewhom I have appointed, and seek not your ownwill and way, but the will of the Lord your God. 15 For by Him only can you be sustained in thetime of trouble which is fast approaching. EVERLASTING COVENANTS

Chapter 11

Revelation Received Monday,September 27, 1886

At Centerville, Utah Territory

My son John: You have asked Me concerning theNew and Everlasting covenant – how far it isbinding upon my people. 2 Thus saith the LORD: All commandments that Igive must be obeyed by those calling themselvesby My name unless they are revoked by Me or byMy authority; 3 And how can I revoke an everlasting covenant? 4 For I the LORD am everlasting and Myeverlasting covenants cannot be abrogated nordone away with; but they stand forever. 5 Have I not given My word in great plainnesson this subject? 6 Yet have not great numbers of My people been

negligent in the observance of My law and thekeeping of My commandment; 7 And yet have I borne with them these manyyears, and this because of their weakness becauseof the perilous times; 8 And furthermore, it is more pleasing to Methat men should use their free agency in regard tothese matters. 9 Nevertheless I the LORD do not change, andMy word and My covenants and My law do not. 10 And as I have heretofore said by My servantJoseph Smith: All those who would enter into myglory must and shall obey My law; 11 And have I not commanded men that if theywere Abraham's seed and would enter into Myglory, they must do the works of Abraham? 12 I have not revoked this law, nor will I, for it iseverlasting – and those who will enter into Myglory must obey the conditions thereof; Even so, Amen.

Book of the ProphetWilford Woodruff

Even though all of his revelations have appearedin church books, the church leadership havenever presented them to the church for canon-ization. Nevertheless, those who accept WilfordWoodruff as a true prophet should considerseriously if these truly are the Word of the LORDfor His people Israel. Chapter 3 was given to himwhen John Taylor was the head of the church,and verses 67-75 explain that all revelationreceived by others should be sent to the head ofthe church, who will determine what will begiven out.

THE SPIRIT LIKE FIRE WARNS

Elder Heber C. Kimball and myself arose fromour beds in the morning with the power of Godresting upon us; yea, the Spirit of God is like fireshut up in my bones. 2 O my God! What art Thou about to do, O my God,that does this thing? 3 I ask Thee, Father, to tell it unto me in thename of Jesus Christ, Thy Son.

4 Thus saith the Lord God unto thee, My servantWilford. This is My Spirit that resteth upon theeto enlighten thy mind, to show thee things tocome; 5 Not only upon thee, but upon all My faithfulservants upon the face of the whole earth. 6 Therefore, lift up thy voice and spare not, for Iam about to perform a great work upon the faceof the earth, saith the LORD. 7 Mine indignation is about to be poured outwithout measure upon the heads of this nation,

and all the nations of the earth, and they shallnot escape. 8 The cry of the poor, the widow and orphan isascending into Mine ears, saith the LORD, and Iam about to avenge the cry of Mine elect bylaying low the oppressor, and executing thedecree of Mine heart upon all the ungodly fromamong men. 9 Therefore, I put My Spirit upon thee and sayunto thee, Lift up thy voice and spare not! The Spirit of the LORD rested upon me, andconveyed the following testimony to me; 2 Let My servant Wilford call upon the virgins,maidens, daughters and mothers in Zion, and letthem enter into My holy Temple on the first dayof March, the day that My servant Wilford hasseen the time allotted to man, three score yearsand ten. 3 And there let them receive their washings andanointings and endowments for and in behalf ofthe wives who are dead, and have been sealed toMy servant Wilford, or they who are to be sealedto him; and this shall be acceptable to Me, saiththe LORD. 4 And the dead of My servant shall be redeemedin the spirit world, and be prepared to meet Myservant at the time of his coming, which shall beat the time appointed unto him, though notrevealed to man in the flesh. 5 Now, go to and perform this work, and all shallbe accomplished according to the desire of yourheart.

10 Thus saith the LORD unto My servant JohnTaylor, and My servant Wilford Woodruff, andMy servant Orson Pratt, and to all the residue ofMine Apostles; 11 Have you not gone forth in My name, without

purse or script, and declared the gospel of lifeand salvation unto this nation, and the nations ofthe earth, and warned them of the judgmentswhich are to come, as you have been moved uponby the power of the Holy Ghost, and theinspiration of the LORD? 12 You have done this, year by year, for a wholegeneration as men count time. 13 Therefore, your garments are clean of theblood of this generation, and especially of thisnation.

14 Therefore, as I have said in a formercommandment, so I the LORD say unto Mineapostles: Go ye alone by yourselves, whether inheat or in cold, and cleanse your feet with water,pure water, it matters not whether it be by therunning streams or in your closets, but leavethese testimonies before the LORD and theheavenly hosts; 15 And when you have all done this, then gatheryourselves together in your holy places, andclothe yourselves in the robes of the HolyPriesthood, and there offer up your prayersaccording to My holy law. 16 Let him who presides be mouth, and kneelupon the holy altar, and there let Mine apostlesbring all their testimonies before My face, andbefore the heavenly hosts, and before the justifiedspirits made perfect. 17 And thus saith the LORD unto you Mineapostles, when you bring these testimonies beforeMe, let them be presented by name, as far as theSpirit shall present them unto you: 18 The Presidents of the United States, theSupreme Court, the Cabinet, the Senate andHouse of Congress of the United States, theGovernors of the States and Territories, the judgesand officers sent unto you; 19 And all men and persons who have taken anypart in persecuting you, or bringing distress uponyou or your families, or who have sought yourlives, or sought to hinder you from keeping Mycommandments, or from enjoying the rightswhich the constitutional law of the landguarantees unto you.

20 And what I the LORD say unto you Mineapostles, I also say unto My servants the seventies,the high priests, the elders, the priests, and all My

servants who are pure in heart, and who haveborne testimony unto this nation. 21 And then, saith the LORD unto Mine apostlesand Mine elders, when ye do these things withpurity of heart, I the LORD will hear yourprayers, and am bound by oath and covenant todefend you and fight your battles. 22 As I have said in a former commandment, it isnot My will that Mine elders should fight thebattle of Zion, for I will fight your battle. 23 Nevertheless, let no man be afraid to laydown his life for My sake, for he that layeth downhis life for My sake shall find it again, and haveEternal Life. 24 The nation is ripened in iniquity, and the cupof the wrath of Mine indignation is full, and Iwill not stay My hand in judgment upon thisnation or the nations of the earth. 25 I have decreed wars and judgments upon thewicked, and My wrath and indignation are aboutto be poured out upon them, and the wicked andrebellious shall know that I am God. 26 As I the LORD have spoken, so will I theLORD fulfill. I will spare none who remain inBabylon, but I will burn them up, saith the Lordof Hosts. 27 As I the LORD have suffered, so will I put allenemies under My feet, for I the LORD utter Myword, and it shall be obeyed; and the day ofwrath and indignation shall come upon thewicked.

28 And I say again, woe unto that nation orhouse or people who seek to hinder My peoplefrom obeying the Patriarchal Law of Abraham,which leadeth to a Celestial glory, which has beenrevealed unto My saints through the mouth ofMy servant Joseph. 29 For whosoever doeth these things shall bedamned, saith the Lord of Hosts, and shall bebroken up and wasted away from under heavenby the judgments which I have sent forth, andwhich shall not return unto Me void.

30 And thus with the sword, and by bloodshed,and with famine and plagues, and earthquakes,and the vivid lightnings, shall this nation, and thenations of the earth be made to feel thechastening hand of an Almighty God, until theyare broken up and destroyed, and wasted away

from under heaven; and no power can stay Myhand. 31 Therefore, let the wicked tremble, let themthat blaspheme My name hold their lips, fordestruction will swiftly overtake them.

32 All that I the LORD have spoken through themouth of My prophets and apostles since theworld began concerning the last dispensation andfullness of times, concerning My church whichhas been called out of the wilderness of darknessand error, and concerning the Zion and kingdomof God, and concerning Babylon the great, andwhat I have spoken through the mouth of Myservant Joseph, shall be fulfilled.

33 And though heavens and earth pass away, Mywords shall not pass away, but shall all befulfilled, saith the LORD. 34 These revelations and testimonies you havebefore you; let My saints search the word of theLORD and treasure up wisdom, and be preparedfor that which is to come.

35 As I have decreed, so shall My judgmentsbegin at the house of God. 36 There are those in My church who have aname among you, who are adulterers andadulteresses, and those who blaspheme My name,and those who love and make a lie, and thosewho revel and drink with the drunken. 37 If they do not speedily repent of theirwickedness and abomination, they shall besevered from the ordinances of My house, saiththe LORD. 38 There are many who have need to repent,whose hearts are set upon the things of thisworld, who aspire to the honors of men, and donot honor the priesthood, nor seek to build upthe kingdom of God as they should. 39 Neither do they learn or comprehend that therights of the priesthood are inseparablyconnected with the powers of heaven, and thatthe powers of heaven cannot be controlled norhandled, only upon the principles ofrighteousness. 40 Such should repent and turn unto the LORD,and seek for the Holy Spirit to guide them. 41 Judgments will begin at My house, and fromthence will they go forth unto the world, and the

wicked cannot escape. 42 Blessed are the pure in heart, for Myblessings await them in this life, and Eternal Lifein the world to come. 43 Thus saith the LORD unto you, My servantsthe Apostles, who dwell in the flesh, fear ye notyour enemies. 44 Let not your hearts be troubled; I am in yourmidst, I am your Advocate with the Father. 45 I have given Mine angels charge concerningyou; Mine eyes are upon you, and the eyes ofyour heavenly Father, and the heavenly hosts, andall justified spirits made perfect are watchingover you. 46 Your works are manifest before the face ofMy servants who have sealed their testimonywith their blood, and before all of My servants ofthe Twelve Apostles whom I have taken untoMyself. 47 The veil is taken from off their faces, and theyknow your works. They await your coming whenyou have finished your testimony in the flesh. 48 Therefore, be ye faithful until I come; Mycoming is at the door.

49 Call upon the LORD in mighty prayer. Askand you shall receive. Whenever you are agreedas touching anything, and ask the Father in Myname, it shall be given unto you. 50 Seek diligently to build up Zion, and magnifyyour high calling and your enemies shall notprevail over you. 51 Zion shall not be moved out of her place;Zion shall prevail against her enemies. 52 My people shall not be hindered in thebuilding of My temple unto My holy name, ifthey will hearken unto My voice and do as Icommand them.

53 The blood of My servants Joseph and Hyrumand of Mine apostles and elders which has beenshed for the word of God, and the testimony ofJesus Christ, cries from the ground for vengeanceupon the nation which has shed their blood. 54 But their blood shall speedily be avenged, andshall cease to cry unto Me, for the hour of God'sjudgment is fully come, and shall be poured outwithout measure upon the wicked.

55 But hearken and hear, O ye apostles, elders,

and people of My church, to the word of theLORD concerning you: 56 That for all the blessings that I will pour outupon you and the inhabitants of Zion, and thejudgments and destructions upon the wicked,that I will be inquired of by you to ask the Fatherin My name to do and to perform these things foryou. 57 As I told all the House of Israel by My servantMoses, that they should ask at My hand for allthose blessings which I the LORD have promisedunto Israel in the latter days.

58 And as I the LORD ordained Mine apostleswho were with Me in My ministry, and promisedthem that they should sit upon twelve thrones,judging the Twelve Tribes of Israel, so I say untoyou Mine apostles, whom I have raised up inthese last days, that I have ordained you to bearrecord of My name, and of the gospel of JesusChrist, to the Gentiles first, and then to the Houseof Israel. 59 I have also ordained you to sit upon thronesand judge the Gentiles and all of the inhabitantsof the earth unto whom you have bornetestimony of My name in the day and generationin which you live. 60 Therefore, how great is your calling andresponsibility before Me; therefore, gird up theloins of your minds, and magnify your callings inthe fear of God, and prepare ye for the coming ofthe Son of Man, which is nigh at the door. 61 No man knoweth the day nor the hour, butthe signs of both heaven and earth indicate Hiscoming, as promised by the mouths of Mydisciples. The fig trees are leafing, and the houris nigh. 62 Therefore, prepare yourselves, O ye saints ofthe Most High God, with oil in your lamps, forblessed is he that watcheth for the coming of theSon of Man.

63 Again, hear ye the word of the LORD, O yeMine apostles whom I have chosen in these lastdays to bear record of My name, and to lead Mypeople Israel until the coming of the Son of Man; 64 I the LORD have raised up unto you Myservant John Taylor to preside over you, and to bea lawgiver unto My church. He has mingled hisblood with that of the martyred prophets.

65 Nevertheless, while I have taken My servantsJoseph and Hyrum unto Myself, I have preservedMy servant John Taylor for a wise purpose in Me. 66 I have also taken many others of the apostlesunto Myself, for I take whom I will take, andpreserve in life those whom I will preserve,according to the counsel of My own will.

67 And while My servant John Taylor is yourPresident, I wish to ask the rest of My servants ofthe apostles the question: 68 Although you have one to preside over yourQuorum, and over the church, which is the orderof God in all generations, do you not, all of you,hold the Apostleship, which is the highestauthority ever given to man on the earth? Youdo. 69 Therefore, you hold in common the keys ofthe kingdom of God in all the world. 70 You, each of you, have power to unlock theveil of eternity, and hold converse with God theFather, and His Son Jesus Christ, and to have theministration of angels. 71 It is your right, privilege, and duty to inquireof the LORD as to His mind and will concerningyourselves, and the inhabitants of Zion and theirinterests. 72 And whenever any one of you receives theWord of the LORD, let it be written, andpresented in your councils. 73 And whatever by a united consent you deemwisdom to be presented unto the people, let it bepresented by the President, My servant JohnTaylor, as the word of the LORD. 74 In this way you will uphold him, andstrengthen his hands, as all the burden shouldnot rest upon one man.

75 For thus saith the LORD, all of Mine apostlesshould be full of the Holy Ghost, of inspirationand revelation, and know the mind and will ofGod, and be prepared for that which is to come. 76 Therefore, let Mine apostles keep Mycommandments, and obey My laws, and the gatesof hell shall not prevail against you. 77 Fear not, for lo I am with you until I come. Thus saith the LORD to My servant Wilford, I theLord have heard thy prayer and thy request, andwill answer thee by the voice of My Spirit. 2 Thus saith the LORD, unto My servants, thePresidency of My Church, who hold the keys ofthe Kingdom of God on the earth. 3 I the Lord hold the destiny of the Courts inyour midst, and the destiny of this nation, and allother nations of the earth in Mine own hands; allthat I have revealed, and promised and decreedconcerning the generation in which you live,shall come to pass, and no power shall stay Myhand.

4 Let not My servants who are called to thePresidency of My Church, deny My word or Mylaw, which concerns the salvation of the childrenof men. 5 Let them pray for the Holy Spirit, which shallbe given them, to guide them in their acts.

6 Place not yourselves in jeopardy to yourenemies by promise; 7 Your enemies seek your destruction and thedestruction of My people. 8 If the Saints will hearken unto My voice, andthe counsel of My servants, the wicked shall notprevail.

9 Let My servants, who officiate as yourCounselors before the Courts, make theirpleadings as they are moved upon by the HolySpirit, without any further pledges from thePriesthood, and they shall be justified. 10 I the LORD will hold the Courts, with theofficers of government, and the nationresponsible for their acts towards the inhabitantsof Zion.

11 I, Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, am inyour midst. I am your Advocate with the Father.

12 Fear not little flock, it is your Father's goodpleasure to give you the Kingdom. 13 Fear not the wicked and ungodly.

14 Search the Scriptures, for they are they whichtestify of Me; also those revelations which I havegiven to My Servant Joseph, and to all MyServants since the world began, which arerecorded in the records of divine truth.

15 Those revelations contain the judgments ofGod, which are to be poured out upon all nationsunder the heavens, which include great Babylon. 16 These judgments are at the door, they will befulfilled as God lives. 17 Leave judgment with Me, it is Mine saith theLORD. 18 Watch the signs of the times, and they willshow the fulfillment of the words of the LORD.

19 Let my servants call upon the LORD inmighty prayer, retain the Holy Ghost as yourconstant companion, and act as you are movedupon by that spirit, and all will be well with you. 20 The wicked are fast ripening in iniquity, andthey will be cut off by the judgments of God.

21 Great events await you and this generation,and are nigh at your doors. 22 Awake, O Israel, and have faith in God, andHis promises, and He will not forsake you. 23 I, the Lord will deliver My Saints from thedominion of the wicked, in Mine own due timeand way.

24 I cannot deny My word, neither in blessingsnor judgments. 25 Therefore let Mine anointed gird up theirloins, watch and be sober, and keep Mycommandments.

26 Pray always and faint not; exercise faith inthe LORD and in the promises of God; be valiantin the testimony of Jesus Christ. 27 The eyes of the Lord and the Heavenly Hostsare watching over you and your acts. 28 Therefore be faithful until I come. In the early part of March last I retired to My bedone evening as usual. 2 And while contemplating and inquiring out inmy mind the field of my ministerial labors for thethen coming season, the vision of the LORD, likeclouds of light, burst upon my view. 3 The cities of London, Amsterdam, Constan-tinople and Jerusalem all appeared in successionbefore me. 4 And the Spirit said unto me: Here are many ofthe children of Abraham whom I will gather tothe land that I gave to their fathers; and here alsois the field of your labors. 5 A strict observance of the movements of theJews, and a careful examination of their faithrelative among them, and the overthrow of thepresent kingdoms and governments of theGentiles, will serve to open the eyes of many ofthe uncircumcised, when faithfully laid beforethem, that the great day of the LORD comes notupon them unawares as a thief. 6 Take, therefore, proper credentials from Mypeople, your brethren, and also from theGovernor of your State, with a seal of authoritythereon, and go ye forth to the cities which havebeen shown unto you, and declare these wordsunto Judah, and say: 7 Blow ye the trumpet in the land! Cry, gathertogether and say, Assemble yourselves, and let usgo into the defended cities. Let the standard bereared towards Zion! 8 Retire, stay not! 16 The vision continued open for about sixhours, that I did not close my eyes in sleep. Inthis time many things were shown unto mewhich I have never written, neither shall I writethem until they are fulfilled in Jerusalem.

In my meditations this morning, the Spirit of theLORD came upon me, and I was moved to write; 2 And being grieved in my spirit on account offalse pretenses and by evil designing persons togain power, and lead away the flock of God, Itwhispered to me and said: 3 Evil men, ambitious of power, must needs ariseamong you, and they shall be led by their ownself-will, and not by Me. 4 Yet they are instruments in My hands, and arepermitted to try My people, and to collect fromamong them those who are not the elect, andsuch as are unworthy of Eternal Life. 5 Grieve not after them, neither mourn nor bealarmed. 6 My people know My voice, and also the voiceof My Spirit, and a stranger they will not follow.

Therefore, such as follow strangers are not Mypeople.

7 Behold, James J. Strang hath cursed My peopleby his own spirit and not by Mine. 8 Never at any time have I appointed that wickedman to lead My people, neither by My ownvoice, nor by the voice of My servant JosephSmith, neither by the voice of Mine angels. 9 But he hath sought to deceive, and Satanhelpeth him. 10 But before of old was he one that wasordained to gather the tares of the field, andMine angels have chosen him to do it because hewas a wicked man, even as Judas was chosen tobetray his Lord. 11 But his spirit and ambition shall soon failhim, and then shall he be called to judgment, andreceive that portion which is his mete; and histreacherous followers, who have forsaken thecounsel of their brethren and turned from thecovenants of their God, and have cast asunderthe tenderest ties, must drink from a bitter cup. 12 Let no man who putteth his trust in Me betroubled about his rights. The worthy shall havetheir rights, and no power can prevent it. 13 For I will give them the hearts of My people,and their voice is My voice, even as My voice isthe voice of My Father. 14 And what they bind on earth, I will bind inheaven. 15 But the unworthy have no rights except these,repentance or condemnation. 16 If they act upon the former, behold they arejustified, but if not, they must suffer theconsequences of the latter. 17 By this you may know the unworthy amongMy people: for whomsoever they reject, the sameare rejected of Me. 18 And woe to such as shall follow him whohath been rejected by My people. 19 If My people sin I will correct and chastenthem because I love them, yet I will not rejectthem, neither give My kingdom to other people. 20 For behold, the end draweth nigh, andjudgment will I pour out upon your oppressorsand upon those who accuse you to hide their owniniquity and their shame, and to get power forunholy purposes, and not for the building up ofMy kingdom.

21 Let such beware lest they fall by the hand ofthe destroyer – whose arrows are plague andpestilence – before their designs areaccomplished. 22 Let My saints gather up with all consistentspeed and remove westward, except such as arecounseled to tarry and must needs remain tosettle their business according to the counsel ofMy servant Joseph Smith, in the day that he waswith you in the flesh. 23 And also according to the counsel of Myservants the Twelve, whom I have chosen, andwho have abode in Me. 24 Let there be no more disputes or contentionsamong you about doctrine or principle, neitherwho shall be the greatest. 25 But hearken to those things which I havespoken unto you, and which have before beengiven – and you shall find rest in My kingdom,and have glory and honor forever and ever. 26 Yea, saith the spirit! And the Spirit is truth,and the truth abideth forever. Amen.
