Who are Sported?• UK sport for development charity, helping to change the lives of

disadvantaged young people ages 11 – 25.

• We support the work of community and voluntary groups delivering ‘sport for development’.

• Our aim is to help them become sustainable and run their organisation to the best of their ability.

• We are a free membership organisation providing the business support and resources that these groups need.

What is ‘sport for development’?

‘Where sport is intended to be used as a tool to engage disadvantaged young people and communities, to help improve lives in a sustainable way’

• Building strong communities• Reducing crime and anti-social behaviour• Removing barriers to regular participation in sport for

marginalised groups• Developing young people by providing them with

skills for the workplace and life• Providing education in health and well being

Membership is FREE• Become a member to access our services• Everything we do is aimed towards helping our Members• Majority of members are constituted clubs and charities• You don’t have to be a sports organisation

Eligibility criteria• Not-for-profit• Working with 11-25’s• Targeting disadvantaged communities • Having clear intention to use sport or physical activities in order to achieve a positive social outcome for young people
