Energy and water benchmarking is performed using the Energy Star Portfolio Management methodology for all modules in the new Online Portal (includes the MURB and Health Care surveys)
2 options for data entry: 1. Users enter data directly into the BOMA BEST Online Portal 2. Users link an existing Energy Star Portfolio Management
account with their BOMA BEST account. All data is shared between the two portals (no double entry).

• October 1, 2016 – all new applications only on BOMA BEST® 3.0.
• February 28, 2017 – all v2 assessments must be “locked”
• March 1, 2017 – v2 no longer available
• March 31, 2017 – final verifications and awards under v2

• Applicants whose certifications are expiring before September 30th, 2017
are welcome to purchase a 1 year extension of their certification for 1/3 of
the total certification cost.
• This will allow applicants to take the time to become fully comfortable
with the new 3.0 standard.
