Artis zee’s new imagingchain enables a new real-time processingalgorithm that improvescardiac image qualitysignificantly, even underdifficult circumstancessuch as steep angulationsand/or obese patients. It is based on a real-timeimage content analysisand application ofautomatically optimizedfilter parameters. Theresult is images withreduced noise, clearlydefined vessel edges, and better contrast.

Advanced temporal filtration uses an intelligentmotion detection algorithm that is capable ofseparating moving from non-moving objects in thefluoroscopic image. The non-moving objects can beintegrated from image to image thus reducing thenoise level significantly. The result is a sharp imagewith a significantly reduced noise level.

ECG-triggered pulsed fluoroscopyvirtually freezes the motion of theheart by using the patient’s ECG totrigger the image acquisition at thesame point in the heart cycle. Byreducing the pulse rate to one pulse per heart cycle, ECG-triggeredfluoroscopy reduces the overall x-ray dose. Ideal for ablations andother long-lasting fluoroscopyprocedures.
