Arab Potash Company benefits from latest modernized plant solutions
Arab Potash Co. (APC) has chosen ABB extended automation System 800xA for upgrading its control systems in both El-Safi solar evaporation pond system plant at the Dead Sea, and additionally to upgrade the existing conventional control system of the Aqaba warehouse.
ABB helped APC upgrading the control, drives and instrumentation system with significant reduction in plant down time, power consumption and maintenance cost. In addition increased the plant availability, performance & quality which led to better OEE.
Secured plant continuity and availability at Egyptian Cement Company Lafarge
The ECC-Lafarge plant, is the largest cement producer in the middle east. With its five production lines, the company achieves a total production capacity of 25’000 tons per day.Automation specialists from ABB in Egypt participated in the engineering and commissioning work of the plant’s automation system. With its local certified resources and process know-how, ABB has much supported ECC to maintain their production and expansion plans and to grow successfully in a smooth manner.
