Course focus- for focusing on low power objective.oONLY USE ON LOW POWER!!!

Using the Microscope

• Place slide so center of slide is directly over the light source.

• Always start on lower power• Use course adj. knob to get specimen in focus.• Switch to high power objective.• Use fine adj. knob to get specimen in focus.

Preparing a Wet Mount Slide

– Get this slice of specimen and place on center of slide.

– Put one drop of water over specimen.– Place coverslip at 45 degree angle and drop on

slide.
