Always wear goggles or any other required safety gear.
Wear clothing that covers your skin Long pants and long sleeve shirts Hair should be tied back or wear a
hairnet.
Wear tennis shoes or any other type of closed-toe shoe.

tubes away from yourself and others.
This prevents spills!!
This prevents accidental exposure to chemicals.

Never inhale (breathe in) chemicals.
Never taste anything in the lab.

always wash spills immediately and call your instructor.
If a spill occurs, find the nearest source of water and wash thoroughly.
Don’t expose any other parts of your body to the chemical!

burn yourself apply cold water.
Never expose hair to fire in the lab, so again hair should be tied back.
