ACTIVITY #1 – VISUAL READING

• In groups of 4, review your assigned piece of artwork.

• As a team, try to identify as many of the ELEMENTS and PRINCIPLES as

you can.

*Note – not ALL of the elements or principles may be present in

the piece you have been assigned!

• Use your handout as a guide to help you.

• On your piece of flip chart paper, write down what you have found. Use

big and bold lettering and try to fill up the paper.
