1. Q: What is your current occupation? When did you start this job?A: I am a banker, I started this job in 1992.
2. Q: Has your work taken you to other places? Where?A: Yes, I have worked in Anguilla (British
West Indies) and the Turks and Caicos Islands (Western Caribbean)
3. Q: What did you do for your post secondary? How long did it take?A: I received a double major in economics
and economic geography, and a minor in business. This took me 6 years to complete.
4. Q: What benefits does you job give you?A: Personal obligation/family days, sick days,
vacation days, short and long term disability, pension, share ownership plan, health, dental, life, and travel insurance, and family coverage.
5. Q: Are you happy with your salary? Why or why not?A: You always want more! However I feel my
salary is fair.
6. Q: Would you work this job until retirement? Why?A: I would, I get great satisfaction from
helping families achieve their financial dreams.
7. Q: Would you rather work alone or with a team? Why?A: I prefer working with a team because
more can be accomplished.
8. Q: What’s more important- money or job satisfaction?A: Job satisfaction because you could ascend
in your job and make more, and it helps with family life.
9. Q: What is your favorite part of your work?A: When you know you helped somebody
reach their goal, it is very satisfying.
10. Q: How are people in this occupation paid?A: People are paid with a salary with some
annual bonuses.
11. Q: Are promotions possible at your work and what is the procedure?A: Promotions are available. The procedure is
first within the branch, then online, and then an application process.
12. Q: If you could change anything about your career what would it b and why?A: I would have pursued a masters, which
would have led to better career enhancement opportunities.
13. Q: What influenced you on your job choices?A: Friends/colleagues that worked in the
industry.
14. Q: What skills do you most often use?A: I use communication, interpersonal, and
leadership skills as well as investment knowledge.
15. Q: What was your first job? How did it influence you?A: I worked at a hardware store at 16. It
helped me with interpersonal skills.
16. Q: What are the hours/work week of your job?A: “Officially” 8:30 a.m-5:00 p.m, Monday-
Friday.
17. Q: What are your future plans?A: To be a top level branch manager.
18. Q: Which of your high school courses prepared you for your work? A: Math and English.
19. Q: If you could choose another job what would it be and why?A: I would wish to be a fighter pilot because
of the exhilaration.
20. Q: What are some interview tips you can share? A: To listen, show attention, and ask
questions that provoke thought.
