Ecclesiastes 1:4-8

Generations come and generations go, but the earth remains forever.

5 The sun rises and the sun sets, and hurries back to where it rises.

6 The wind blows to the south and turns to the north;round and round it goes, ever returning on its course.

7 All streams flow into the sea, yet the sea is never full.To the place the streams come from, there they return again.

8 All things are wearisome, more than one can say.

He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. 12 I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live. 13 That everyone may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all his toil — this is the gift of God.”

I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that men will revere him.
